Adapted and set to music by Sebastian Temple in 1967, the soothing melody and powerful words of the song have an immediate calming effect on anyone dealing with pressure and stress. The song was released as a single in 1968 and remains an incredible immortal in the paradise of inspirational and motivational songs ever written. If you are looking for a song that shines with hope and optimism, this is a tune that you will fall in love with. If you are looking for some great soothing music that is not in the popular mainstream, to start off your morning, try 'Chant: Music For The Soul' - a great compilation by some of the best chanting monks I have heard. The Cistercian Monks of Stift Heiligenkreuz give listeners some calming chant music across 20 tracks in one of their top albums. Honestly, I don't understand the meanings of their chants and can't directly relate the songs to the beginning of a new day but I can testify to the music's ability to relax your nerves and give you that much needed peaceful start to your day.

- It is a great idea to start the morning with a morning song. I will keep that in mind everytime I drag myself out of bed during the week to get ready for work.This means putting a cd player with my favorite morning songs in the bathroom. Thanks for the idea. Music indeed has a way to brighten the day.
