Beginning at Zazzle, Interviews with Non Pro Sellers

It can take time to develop your Zazzle business, don't loose heart!

Zazzle is a hugely popular print on demand company. It is a great platform for new and accomplished designers, giving them the chance to sell their designs on a broad range of products. Their site is easy to use, the instructions are clear and concise, the Zazzle community forum is full of helpful people, yet with all of these great features it is not all that easy to succeed. There are multiple millions of products up for sale and a lot of us artistically minded folk are not necessarily creative with internet marketing!
The interviews below are with Zazzlers who have not yet reached the lofty goal of 'Pro Seller" a tittle which comes when you have earnt $100.00 worth of royalties.....doesn't sound like much but it can take a while!
Zazzle is great fun, it's inspiring, but what keeps aspirants at it when sales aren't yet steady?
I hope you enjoy my interviews with these intrepid souls!

4. Abstract Energy Studios

1st ever sale by Abstract Energy Studioson Zazzle

1.What was the inspiration for your Zazzle Store? My husband and I were already running a freelance all-purpose art services company since we were dating, but we weren't making any money. As college student newlyweds, we were in dire straights and knew we needed to make some changes or our business would sink.

2.Zazzle start date: January, 2012

3.The feeling you had when you had your first sale: I was ecstatic I screamed and giggled and my husband and I did a happy dance together. We both worried this would never work and with this sale from CA we suddenly had a spark of hope that it would.

4.What is your favourite product to design for? I love making iPad covers! I'm not sure why, it's just something about the fabric and the large flat surface makes my artwork look wonderful!

5.What keeps you at it? When we get an occasional sale from far away (like the UK which was our last sale), it lifts my spirits greatly and always makes me want to try even harder. It's so surreal to think that you are sitting in your own little bubble and people all over the world are seeing what you're doing and liking it. It's amazing.
