I really enjoyed reading your lens! Thank you so much for sharing! :)
I purchased the Bob books for my daughter when she was four, and she very much liked them. Also she loves Starfall, and I find it a great site to encourage and stimulate early learning. Enchanted learning is another familiar site that is full of great information and another favorite site for my kids.

    P.S.
I also enjoyed reading your bio, I can relate to your love of reading, and writing! :)
I also homeschool my six children and enjoy it immensely.

I must agree that reading to children should be done everyday. I have done this to my kids and it helped them learn & improve their reading skills.

I wouldn't read until the summer of third grade. Once I started, I read a book a day until well past my college years. For my kids I repeated what I had learned,

    1) The more you read the easier it gets, and the more pleasurable reading becomes.

    2) Read widely, that will aid in the discernment of truth.

    3) If you read well, you can learn anything.

    4) Read, think, take your time; think some more.

Our child is almost three and she loves a show on public television called "Word World". It's a great way to get them noticing letters and building words.

I'm working through Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons with my son right now. He's four and he has been begging me to teach him to read . . . he's just taking off in that department! He LOVES to read. Great resources here, we use StarFall, too. :) 5*

Loved Peter Rabbit and all of his naughty little adventures! :) If you're looking for more kids reading material, try looking it up on infloox since there's a tool that shows if it's appropriate or not, as well as a list of books that the authors themselves read as kids.

Nice lens. We used the Bob books and also did a modified version of the "100 Easy Lessons" book you featured...amazing book, old school and effective.
