The Creative Professional Platform

I learned about Behance Network from my LinkedIn account. I was accepting some invitations and seen this blurb about Behance checked it out and signed up.

Let me tell you what I have been so involved in lately; Promoting my Photography. In the process I found there are a lot of things that I need to do and things I need to get in order. I was drawn to Behance because they have a great looking platform, the site is easy to navigate through and I am personally using it for an online Portfolio.

When a Photographer is out in the cyber world of Photography, you need to have all of your P's and Q's in order. To be taken serious, you need to be serious about your stuff!!

Why is an online portfolio important to have?

They are good resources to showcase your skills. You would only want to showcase your best work because remember future clients, agents, and companies may be looking for what you do.

So what exactly is Behance Network?

Behance is a network of members that showcase their work, called projects. The projects are displayed on the front page of your portfolio so guest and possible clients can look through your work. When someone clicks on one of your projects, they can appreciate it, leave comments and also if your sell your artwork/photography online, you can add a link so the person can go directly to your online gallery and make a purchase if they want too. So in a sense, your portfolio is like a catalog of your work where people can browse through it and also make purchases by clicking on your link.

Your Front Page is also called your profile page is filled with all kinds of information about you. Keep this in mind; you are building a portfolio for possible clients and to promote your artwork and/or photography. When filling out your profile you want to share all information about yourself that may be relevant to new clients.

I will admit that I LOVE Behance's project editor. It is very easy to use, and offers you many different kinds of modules to use to build a fast and fantastic project page. You have the ability to rearrange the modules, you have control over your font style, color and size and so much more. I am still learning about it so I will update and keep everyone informed.

You can easily promote your new projects via Twitter, FaceBook and LinkedIn all from the project page.

My Projects on Behance

To date I have published eleven different projects. Projects are just something to showcase some of the new things you have been working on. Within the projects, you are allowed to offer links so your works can be purchased.

Here are a few of my projects:

Raindrops

Raindrops fascinates me. But of course there are so many things I love about the rain; especially the way it smells afterwards. So I wanted to show a few macro photo's I have taken of rain drops. What a life raindrops have, all they do is hang around.

Georgia Bird Photography

Photographing birds is an adventure, yet amazing, but also a little tricky (at least for me). The days I have spent watching common Georgia birds flying around the yard, and trying to coach them in with bird seed, has been sort of funny.

Roses and their Beauty

I will admit that Roses are not my favorite flower. Just recently I have found like most other things in Nature, I love to photograph Roses also. The following photos I will be showing were all taken with my Nikon D3100 camera using a smaller lens.

Since I am teaching myself about a lot of the "tricks of the trade" when it comes to photography, I just continue forward trying to learn from my mistakes.

A photograph is usually looked at - seldom looked into.

I love all your photography. Really I mean that. I really liked the raindrop dripping off the tree limb above. Just the right moment captured. And of course all your floral shots. But you know my heart belongs to the animals. What a wonderful treat they are. I am so glad you have found this site to advance yourself with. I am very pleased for you. giggles and hugs to you my friend.
