The inspiration for the Behind Bars tee shirt line.
The term behind bars in it's most basic sense can be used to describe the state of being deprived of freedom. Some times I tend to think though that one does not necessarily have to be put in a sealed room, a prison cell, a jail cell or a dungeon to experience a feeling of being locked up. I think from time to time situations and circumstances tend to force us into situations where we feel hopeless and cornered.
It was one of those moments that drove my creative juices towards creating this page. I believe sometimes we should just be honest with ourselves that we are not feeling at our best. I think most times it is only through expressing our ideas and feelings that we actually get our desired result. T-shirts now a days have been a great medium for personal expression. This is when I thought maybe this is one avenue through which we can ridicule a situation or express a feeling so that we can move on.

The whole vibe of this line speaks to the whole idea of being imprisoned by circumstances. The nature of the lock up does not necessarily have to be a city lock up or a state prison. It can just be day to day situations like an annoying boss, no job, a boring environment just about anything that causes you to feel trapped. In the end you realize that the feeling of being trapped is more in your head than anything else. The answers are inside you and that is the key to your freedom. You have to search deep within yourself; ask for help if you need it. Everyone deserves freedom and everyone can have freedom.

I have come to realize that most people seem to prefer the black design. But everyone has their own opinion, tastes and likes. If you ask me I'd tell you i'm sitting on the fence I am not picking sides.
