HERE'S WHAT I THINK

belief is a rash

Think about it, a rash is a temporary outbreak of nodes. If something is rash, then it is done out of haste and is ill conceived. Both senses of the term are in direct correlation to the idea of belief. A rash is also a symptom of something deeper that is broken.
Most of the notions [symantic nodes] we hold onto are not really thought through. I believed that chair would hold me. I believed that person would make me happy. I believed in this cosmology until I discovered _______. What is worse is that many of the notions we cling to are the result of someone else's thinking. Most of the time, that is considered because of the value of another person's belief system spread to our own.
Belief is of great value, my challenge is to examine it deeper.
Consider the source.

Yes, you're right!

Nietzsche would agree and I can see your point. Beliefs are an assumption of truth, which is a falsely... especially since truth doesn't exist... just ask Nietzsche

No way, Monkeybrain!

artistcaleb says:

If truth doesn't exist, then what you said simply isn't true. Or perhaps, coffeejunkie79, you are trying to tell us that you don't exist? Odd, I could have sworn I saw your post, hmm, oh well!

silverpoint23 says:

Try this; belief is the map, Truth is the terrain. Many times we think the world is flat until we are willing to explore the places in our cosmology that scare us. Your reference to Nietzsche is a perfect example of an idea rash. God is dead, truth is dead, blah, blah. These are very risky assumptions.
The point to my rant is that we quote therefore we are. I am seriously interested in a belief that coffeejunkie79 has arrived entirely on your own. It doesn't have to be original, just yours. The fact that some dead German agrees with me both proves my point and makes me want to push you into your own arrivals.
Does coffeejunkie79 have something to add to my own selfish little view of the universe?
