CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Multiple AVN award winner Belladonna announced through a MySpace blog Tuesday that she has decided from this point forward to perform only solo sex scenes in front of the camera.

Saying that she was compelled to take this measure after discovering what might be a herpes outbreak on the night of Aug. 23, the revered performer/director assured her admirers that she is not leaving the business, just restricting herself to directing and appearances, in addition to the occasional aforementioned solo performance as bonus material for her movies' DVDs.

"This is really a big decision for me," Bella said in the blog, "and it hurts me in some ways, but ... it's time to let my body relax. I hope you continue to be a fan of my work directing and behind the camera in the years to come. I can't thank you all enough for supporting my career throughout the years! And I'll still be here telling you all about my adventures in life and all of the other really hot guys and girls I've been shooting. So don't go anywhere yet, I have much more in store for you."

Porn Star Belladonna went in one night from one of the industry's hottest starlets to one of its most controversial. A January 2003 appearance on the TV news magazine '20/20' that centered on Belladonna made her the hot topic in porn circles, with colleagues and producers expressing bewilderment at what the report contained. The truth, however, remains elusive. Wherever the truth really lies, watching Belladonna in action in this flick certainly will convince you that she's enjoying herself.
