My son loves Ben 10. He prefers Ben 10 Alien Force to the Original Ben 10. When I ask him why, he says "I like the older Gwen better" and "I prefer Ben's Green Shirt to the White Shirt." I thought that he would have preferred the younger Ben, since my boy is only 7. He says Gwen is prettier in Ben 10 Alien Force. I guess boys will be boys.

My son has dozens and dozens of Ben 10 Magazines, Ben 10 Comics and Ben 10 storybooks. He started off with the comics. I allowed him to read the comics. I let him read whatever he prefers and there was no harm done. In fact, he is now a regular bookworm and reads many other books besides the Ben 10 series which he still loves.

I also encouraged him to draw his favourite Ben 10 characters and aliens and sent them in to the Ben 10 magazines for him. He was really delighted when one of it got printed in a magazine.

They can also be used to encourage imaginative thinking through play. My boy did not like the toys though so we didn't do this. He only had an Omnitrix watch once. I thought it was really cool. It had a light which could shine alien shapes on the ceiling or wall but it was of poor quality and did not last very long. However, his books are still in good condition and he likes to read them again every now and then.
