Ben 10 Vs Generator Rex

The news was announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2011. Man of Action have brought Ben and Rex together for an incredible battle, to be aired at Thanksgiving in the USA!

Rex and Ben will be battling it out after Ben enters Rex's world via a portal and is mistaken for an Evo. Later, they will team up to fight a common enemy.

Age: 15 years

Background: During an industrial accident 5 years previously a massive explosion released dormant nanites into the atmosphere, infecting nearly everything on earth. Most of the time these nanites are dormant, but on occasion can activate turning their host into a mindless, raving monster. These monsters, called EVOs (Exponentially Variegated Organisms) will attack everything around them.

Unlike other humans, Rex is able to control the nanites infecting him. He can use the nanites to produce weapons or he can access the nanites in EVOs to cure them of their mutation, causing them to revert back to human.

Powers: Rex can create six difference bio-mechanical machines out of his own body. The nanites inside him also allow him to communicate with and control all types of machinery, handy when breaking out of Providence HQ.

Providence is a world-wide organisation headed up by a man known simply as White Knight which was created to combat the nanite threat.

Weaknesses: Rex is a teenager. He can be brash and overconfident. He rebels against authority, dislikes being contained, and is searching to discover who he is in the midst of incredible world-wide devastation. Adding to the mix, Rex suffers from amnesia and is unable to remember anything about who he is or where he came from before being found by Providence when was was 10 years old. During times of emotional turmoil or stress, his EVO powers can cut out.

Age: 10 - 16 years.
In the early series, Ben is 10 years of age. He grows older through subsequent series, is aged 15 during "Alien Force" and aged 16 in "Ultimate Alien". For this comparison, we will be looking at Ben from Alien Force so that Rex and Ben are be the same age.

Background: While travelling around America with his Grandpa Max and cousin Gwen over the summer holiday 10 year old Ben finds an alien device (omnitrix)which, when placed on his wrist, allows Ben to change into different alien creatures. Over the course of the summer it is revealed that Ben's grandfather had once been part of an elite team called the Plumbers who monitored alien activity on earth and beyond, and dealt with any alien threats across the galaxy.

Five years later, Ben has taken off his Omnitrix and given up fighting aliens. Until his Grandpa Max disappears one day, and Ben is attacked by a DNAlien. Ben puts the omnitrix on his wrist once again and with the aid of cousin Gwen, and former enemy Kevin Levin, sets off to find where Max Tennyson has gone, and save the Earth once more from alien invaders.

Powers: Ben can use the Omnitrix to change into different aliens. Initially he was limited to 10 aliens but over time this number has increased. Once taking an alien's form Ben has all of the powers and abilities of the alien.

Weaknesses: Ben does not have full control of the Omnitrix. Too many times to count he has dialled in one alien and actually changed into another. There is a time limit on the omnitrix and Ben will revert back to his human form once that time is up.
Ben is brash and over confident, doesn't particularly like listening to others, and can get a bit cocky at times.
