MI40 Workout Program
MI40 is Ben's new workout program. Why is it called MI40?
MI stands for Mass Intentions. The idea is that more experienced trainees reach a point of diminishing marginal returns when it comes to lifting increasingly heavier weights in order to get bigger. In other words, there comes a point where the risks of lifting heavier (the risks of injury, etc.) does not really equal the benefits. His solution is to adjust variables such as grip widths and angles in such a way as to stimulate growth without adding any further risk.
40 is an important number in this system. The program calls for 40 second sets and rest periods--the optimal time for maximal results. It also includes 40 meal plans, etc. Using this number simplifies things and helps you get the best results out of all aspects of your training and nutrition.
