What Is A Recession?
I think it is but proper to give our good ol' friend recession a little introduction before we begin. He's been creating such a huge wave all around the world and becoming as popular as ever! If I could sell recession I'd be filthy rich by now.
Hhmm...Makes me think...??? (Fill in the blanks)
Anyways,What is a Recession?
According to Dictionary [dot] com, it is a state of economic decline; a widespread decline in the GDP, employment and trade lasting from six months to a year.
To make it more understandable, it is when hundreds of people gets laid off from their jobs, prices of commodities are shooting up, and everybody is short on cash. Wow! quite a disaster isn't it?
But, as always, in every situation there are those that comes out victorious, so don't dwell on the negative effects of economic recession because you won't be able to do a darn thing about that.
Instead, think of the different ways to beat economic recession.
Aha! That's one benefit. It makes you think. And I think I'm getting way too fast here, I'm not supposed to discuss that yet.

Causes Of Economic Recession
"Recession is primarily caused by the actions taken to control the money supply in the economy. The Federal Reserve is responsible for maintaining an ideal balance between money supply, interest rates, and inflation. When the Fed loses balance in this equation, the economy can spiral out of control, forcing it to correct itself."In short, you can blame the Government for everything that's happening right now. But hey, that didn't come from me.
Let's go talk about something better, shall we?
Benefits Of Economic Recession
Alas! The much awaited section...
OK, so now that we know a little bit about recession and how it affects our lives in a negative fashion (I was gonna talk about the effects a little bit but I think it's pretty obvious so I chose not to), let us now concentrate on the positive side of things.
In this section I will talk about the benefits of economic recession (obviously) and I will introduce you to people who realized these benefits and started using them to their favor. You can do the same, so keep on reading.
Remember, in every situation you can come out victorious if you choose to.
Economic Recession Makes You Wiser
You'll be surprised how people start to lecture you about spending wisely, saving for the future, tighten your belt! My drunk neighbor has been sober for so many days!
Seriously, in this world where consumerism is highly encouraged, the situation right now has made everybody a notch wiser than before. I don't see people splurging like they used too. Anybody who say's otherwise...it's your opinion.lol

Quite a number of people are making it big even at this challenging time. Crisis, poverty, lack of good education, and lack of luck are never an excuse. Start winning the game of life. Create your own destiny.
The Recession Makes You Think Out Of The Box
As I've said earlier, economic recession makes you think, which is the greatest thing. What ingenious way have you thought of today that will earn you extra cash? The beauty of it, is that the more you think of it, the more creative ideas you get. And that my friend is your first step towards success. A Must Watch Video

The Crisis Bornes a Decision maker Out Of You
Knowing that you have to act fast forces you to make quick decisions. It doesn't matter if you make a mistake, what matters is that you are doing something. Procrastination will get you nowhere, and that is what recession is saving you from.Don't forget to say thanks...
The Recession Makes You Appreciate What You Have
How about you? You still hate the car you drive? Do you think your house is too small?

If you don't know it yet, many people are making it big because they are doing what they love to do. Don't force yourself to do things that you don't like because you will not have much success on it. Whatever it is that you are passionate about can make you big bucks.
Recession Forces Change
This goes in conjunction with all the other benefits of economic recession. Change is a constant thing but recession accelerates that, it makes everybody adaptable. If you were used to eating at fine dining restaurants, I bet right now you're content with fast food or you just eat at home.
I can probably list 10 or 20 more benefits of economic recession but I think you get the picture and I hope that somehow what you read made you look at things at a different perspective.
You can't control what happens to the economy, not even President Obama can do that (or maybe he can, whatever!), but you can control your own economy
OK, let me ask you. Of the 5 benefits listed above, which do you think benefits you the most? There's a blurb down there give me your thoughts!
Ain't that refreshing? The positive mantra surging through your veins!
Now, on to the introductions. I wasn't kidding when I said that there are people succeeding during these trying times, and they're not geniuses at Dell or Microsoft, they are average people who used to struggle in their lives until they learned a simple technique that turns things around to their benefit that not even recession can affect their success.
People Who Are Succeeding Despite The Recession

Michelle Schill - A Former hair-stylist who is now living the life of her dreams. Nope, she didn't put up her own hair salon. It's something near but very different.

Jim Nelson - A professional, who got tired of working his 9 to 5, started out a rather unique business. He even partnered up with his 90year old mom in the beginning and is now earning a fortune.

Judd Burdon - A former asphalt man who is now earning 5 figures a month.Learn more about Judd's story here.
What do these successful people have in common?
They have a passion, a hobby, an expertise, a positive mindset, and the right formula to succeed in business be it online or off. And the good news, is you can effortlessly copy their formula for success.
Say what!?
Didn't you just say that we are in an economic decline and people are tightening their belts? Why in hell would I want to start a business?
You're right! Times are hard, the economy is down, and people are spending less. But they are also looking for a solution, just like you are.
Would you agree if I tell you that now is the best time for you to start a business?
You know what the economic recession can do to you, and you now know damn well what the benefits are.
Just like the people I mentioned above, you too can start re-gaining control of your life and just laugh away the economic recession, you'll even forget what it means.
Don't you just hate knowing what it means? If those things don't happen, nobody would know squat about recession, there won't even be such a word.
OK! Going back, I know I didn't say much about those 3 people and how they are making things happen for them even at these times. That's because it wouldn't fit this lens, and it's not only them who are succeeding despite the recession. There's even this one crazy veteran, I think he's 80 years old or something but is currently living the time of his life.

I do agree that a high degreee of personal awareness can make surviving in the current economic environment less difficult. Don't forget that inflation will be one of the potential outcomes when this thing starts to swing the other way. Read up on high inflation and how to cope is my suggestion. Have your dollars sweating their little cents off to earn you more. You'll need it! CL/MISSISSIPPI2020

- I agree with mystimulus. Very well said there.
The cost of the war in Iraq is a nice touch though, perhaps not all that pleasant, but it really does make you think. How many people are out there that agree money should be funding a war? There are children out there dying from starvation, they will have no future and all our government or what ever they are do is fund a war?! It's rediculous.
I shall end my rant now. aha.
Very good lens! 5star and a favourite from me!

- Great lense. The kind of stuff that needs to be on the news instead of the junk that is fed into everyone's mind. Good education on recession and how it can have a positive impact on our economy. Things are being reset in our economy and the old way of doing things are being left behind. Don't continue to do things the same way on the otherside of the recessions.
