What exactly is yogurt?

Yogurt is a thick, custard or pudding-like food, made by the natural bacterial fermentation of milk. The process of making yogurt involves culturing milk with live and active bacterial cultures. This is done by adding bacteria directly to the milk. Lactobacillus acidophilus and Streptococcus thermophilis are used for this purpose.

Making yogurt at home is very easy. Heat the preboiled milk, so that it becomes little more than luke warm. Add a tablespoon of yogurt in it. Keep it covered in a warm place for 6-8 hours. If the temperature is very cold, you can keep it inside an oven (one's you have turned it off). The heat will trigger the bacteria to multiply. You can also use bacterial culture packs available in supermarkets or Amazon (scroll down) for setting the yogurt.

How to eat yogurt

Yogurt can be eaten in many forms, both sweet and savory. Chop up the fruits of your choice and top them with yogurt.

    Well, I agree that yogurt is good for constipation, but in terms of natural treatment, Aloe Vera is the best option to cure any digestive concerns.
