There are so many benefits of eating garlic
There are so many benefits of eating garlic. Garlic is considered to be a raw super food. I was so amazed I wanted to share some history and some benefits of garlic. The history of garlic benefits can be dated back to 1000's of years. Archeologists have discovered clay sculptures of garlic bulbs and paintings of garlic dating about 3200 B.C. in Egyptian tombs. An Egyptian papyrus dating from 1,500 B.C. recommends garlic as a cure all for over 22 common ailments, including lack of stamina, heart disease and tumors, and it's been said the Egyptians fed garlic to the slaves building the pyramids to increase their strength. In ancient Greece and Rome, garlic enjoyed a variety of uses, from repelling scorpions and bladder infections to curing leprosy and asthma. Early Greek military leaders fed garlic to their troops before battles to give them courage and promise victory. Even Greek Olympic athletes counted on garlic to stimulate performance. In the Middle Ages garlic was thought to combat the plague. Is garlic good for you? Apparently it is. Continuous research is being done showing the association between garlic and improved memory and learning function. Recently, it has also been studied and found to help in detoxification of bodily systems, by increasing the levels of antioxidants in the body and decreasing the formation of toxic compounds.

Cures and Helps eating Garlic
Garlic also has many properties that aid in preventing heart problems and treating it. It helps lower our cholesterol. It has also been shown to lower cholesterol levels in people who ate 2 or more cloves of garlic per day. Studies have also shown that it protects the aorta. The aorta is a heart blood vessel that maintains blood pressure and flow while the heart is pumping. Research has shown that regular consumption of garlic slows the aging of the aorta and helps keep it flexible. We all know how important it is to control high blood pressure. Another great benefit of garlic is its ability to help control our blood pressure by thinning our blood. A chemical in the blood thins the blood and keeps clots from forming. Research has been done with general populations have shown that where there is more garlic consumed in a population. There is also a reduction of hypertension and heart disease. For thousands of years Chinese doctors have been using garlic to treat people with heart and blood disorders.
So as you can see there are many benefits of eating garlic that can help us, but what should we do now? I think we should all consume more garlic or at the very least take garlic pills. But, before you do that check with your primary physician first it might interfere with the prescription you already take.
