Benefits Of ERP
All computer software, no matter how simple or advanced is based on some level on systems theory.
The term ERP originally referred to how a large organization planned to use organizationally wide resources. Systems were used in larger more industrial types of companies.
Behavior patterns in a system can cause and also be a response to one or uncountable millions of factors. Examples of complex systems include the human nervous system, any urban subway system, the organization of a crowd packed into a stadium for a world cup soccer match, and the organization of a large State Fair. Just imagine the complexity in a State Fair - Hundreds of thousands of people (including little children and groups of teenagers), exhibitors, entertainment, parking, animals, rides, food vendors, security, police, white, red, green, and yellow everywhere the eyes can see. And these are the factors that can be systematically controlled. Then there are the non-linear factors - those things that cannot be so easily controlled - extreme weather, unexpected violence, unruly crowds etc. These can lead to ERP failures.
Since any system transcends the parts that define it any individual can understand many seemingly different and unrelated systems by using the same principles
Any system, no matter how large and complex, may be part of an even larger system and may it self consist of subsystems which are in turn composed of even smaller systems - many of them mobile and some of these are prone to ERP failures.
The most effective system is the one that can bring the various parts together harmoniously.
Benefits of ERP Systems. There are many advantages to implementing an EPR system; here are a few of them: Improved efficiency and productivity levels A totally integrated system Improved customer service
The ability to streamline and integrate different processes, and workflows. The ability to easily share a program or data across various departments in an organization. Better tracking and forecasting. An essential tool for a consultant who might be offering a needs assessment Lower costs a new direction in the near future.
