Bereavement
The period of bereavement is one of the most difficult times in a person's life. It is really important to take care of yourself during this time while you are taking care of things that need to be done. Here you will find some suggestions for taking care of yourself, along with suggestions for bereavement thank you cards and a special closing for those grieving.
Taking Care of Yourself
The loss of a loved one can be overwhelming. You feel like you are in a fog and nothing seems to make much sense right now. Most of us have been there and I would like to share a few of the things that have helped me during my bereavement.
1. Take care of yourself. Get rest, eat well and just allow yourself to grieve.
2. Let others help you. Being around others will remind you that you are alive and people care about you and you have a purpose in the world.
3. Get back to normal activities. Even though this is hard, the sooner you get back to the normal things that you do the more quickly you will be able to start to heal. It will take months and sometimes years, but each day you go about your daily activities is another day closer to healing. At first it will seem like you are just going through the motions of living, but one day you will start to begin to feel like normal again.
4. Remember everyone grieves at their own pace. Allow yourself the time you need to heal.
5. If you find yourself stuck or having extreme difficulty, you may want to seek professional help or join a grief support group. These people are all there to help you and lend a hand. Talking with others going through the same thing can be very helpful.
6. Remember your loved one has left a mark on the world -- their memories will live on in many hearts they have touched.
7. You will find meaning and purpose in life again.

Bereavement Thank You Cards
Condolence Thank You Card
While you are feeling a bit overwhelmed, it is important to thank those who have been there during your bereavment. A very nice way to say thank you is with bereavement thank you cards. You can send these to people who sent flowers, brought over some food, helped out with the service or to anyone who made a kind and loving gesture.. You may choose to just write a hand written note inside a beautiful thank you card or you may wish to send a special bereavement thank you card with a verse already inside. This is very helpful, as words are often hard to come by at this time in our lives.
Life is a Journey
In closing, remember bereavement is one of the most difficult times in our lives, but always remember life is a journey. We never know where life will take us. but It is what we do with the things that happen to us that makes all the difference. Take care!
