Barry White is one of the greatest soul voices of our time. If you are at least a little bit romantic, you should know who this man is. Have you ever been in situation where you tried everything and the girl of your dreams was still cold as an ice? All you need is a Barry White Greatest Hits album and all your problems would go away. His distinctive bass voice can make any ice queen melt in your arms.

Who doesn't know his biggest hits like "You're the First, the Last, My Everything" and "Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe". Those two songs are just some of his songs that reached to the top of billboard pop charts that we all know.

Barry White's brief history

Barry was born on September 12, 1944 in Texas and grow up in south central Los Angeles. He was send to jail when he was just 17 for stealing $30,000 worth of Cadillac tires. He learn his lesson and started to work on his music career.

Barry White is most known by his romantic R&B and soul songs, but that is not all he did. He actually started as songwriter in late 60's and as an producer in 70's. His first songs was recorded by rock singer Bobby Fuller. He was also involved in TV bubblegum act The Banana Splits and in arranging "Harlem Shuffle" for Bob & Earl.

His producer career started with girl group "Love unlimited". Berry wrote, produced and arranged some of there biggest hits like classic soul ballad "Walking In The Rain With The One I Love".

His solo career started just one year later. His good friend Larry Nunes encourage him to start solo career. Barry end up writing the whole album and in end of 1973's his first album "I've Got So Much to Give" was published. This album included a lot of tracks that also feature on many Barry White greatest hits albums.

Berry White All-Time Greatest Hits

Barry White Greatest Hits album called "All-Time Greatest Hits" was published in 1994 and is one of my favorite one. You can find some of his most remarkable hits like "I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little More Baby", "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up","You're The First, The Last, My Everything" and many many more. The only song I'm missing on this album "In Your Wildest Dreams", a duo with rock legend Tina Turner.

Did you know?

Did you know, that White went to jail at age 16 after stealing thousands of dollars' worth of tires from Cadillacs on a lot. When he got out after seven months he vowed to never go to jail again.

    I love Barry White's music, the sounds of his voice is so stunning. We had one of his songs picked as a possible wedding song for our upcoming wedding. Great lens :)

    Just had to stop by this Berry White delight while I was in the neighborhood again and had to freshen up that blessing while I was here, I love Berry White!
