An Insider's Guide to Savile Row Tailoring
Thomas Mahon's review of the big name bespoke tailors of Savile Row.
Poole's history of Savile Row
Savile Row's first bespoke tailoring house offers a brief history of the Row.
H. Huntsman & Sons
Henry Huntsman founded his tailoring business in the west end of London in 1849. The company has a distinctive house style. The shoulder is sharper, and the cut of the coat longer, and more natural in appearance than most other Savile Row houses.
Kilgore Bespoke Tailoring
"The elegance of Cary Grant was of unruffled
sobriety-the sign of serene Anglo-American
distinction. His shoulders were more heavily
padded than usual to make his head appear
smaller, his suits were always impeccably cut,
his ties understated. Cary Grant represented
everything that was balanced in men's fashion.
His tailor was Kilgour French Stanbury"

Kilgore is amongst Savile Row's most innovative tailors. It now offers entry level bespoke suits at approximately 45% of the cost of its normal couture bespoke suits.
Dege & Skinner
The company is a leading men's and ladies' bespoke tailors and shirtmakers in Savile Row, London. It has remained privately owned since its foundation in 1865. As well as producing custom-made suits and shirts for its UK clients in the City, Industry, the Professions and uniforms for the Military, DEGE & SKINNER visits cities in the USA, Europe, the Gulf States, and Japan - as well as in the UK - to meet its customers on a regular basis.
