Best 7 Tarot Card Spreads

The Simple Cross is the quickest and easiest spread to use when you want an answer to a specific question. To make this spread, you only need to use the major arcana.

Here's how it works:

• Beat the cards,
• Cut the set (it is advised to use your left hand),
• Choose four cards which you will arrange as shown on the picture above (the first card to the left, the second to the right, etc.)

• The first card (on the left) represents the obstacles
• The second one stands for the chance
• The third one represents your question
• The last one is the answer

The Celtic Cross is an easy, quick but specific and detailed spread. Actually, the consultant wants to learn more regarding one topic of their life. For instance: career or love...

Some fortune-tellers use 10 cards some others use only 9 cards. I personally make this spread with 9 cards.

Here's how it works:

• Beat the cards - even if you just beat them for another spread
• Use your left hand to cut the set (this is the hand of your heart)
• Place the 22 major arcana face down and let your consultant choose 9 of them
• Place each card face down like shown above
• Turn the cards face up one after another while beginning with card n°1 which is the one that deals with the consultant's mind

One can make use of numerology to spread the tarot cards; which is what I'm going to teach you in this module.

We will use the major arcana as well as the consultant's birth date.

How to calculate the date of birth of the person: let's take a person born on January 10, 1963

1 + 1 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 3 = 21

The 21st Tarot card is the one of the World.

Another example is the one of a person born on December 26, 1975 : 26/12/1975 -->

2 + 6 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 5 = 33

Unfortunately, there are only 22 major arcana so we'll reduce the number like this:

3 + 3 = 6

This is the card of The Lovers.

Depending on this personal number the fortune-teller will take the card out of the deck. The consultant will then choose 8 additional cards that are placed face down. After having beat the cards, they'll be placed like shown on the picture above:

Position the first card in the center of the spread then place two cards on the left, two others on the right, two cards above and two below the spread.

• The cards on the left are related to relationships;
• Those above the spread symbolize the consultant's mind;
• The cards on the right are related to marriage or long relationship;
• The two cards placed below the spread are those of the consultant's career;
• The center card represents the future.

This spread is an easy one that can help you learn how to correctly read the cards. You should use it to spread the cards for your friends. They will tell you if you're right or wrong as this spread not only tells you the future but the past as well!

Additionally, one make use of both major and minor arcana!

One beat the cards alltogether, present them to the consultant face down. The person chooses 27 cards placed in three groups of three cards; like shown on the picture above.

You may apply a field to each group; for instance: the first group represents relationships, the second group represents career and the last one stands for the health field.

You will thus read the cards like this:

PAST :

• 1st group: relationships
• 2nd group: career
• 3rd group: health

• 1st group: relationships
• 2nd group: career
• 3rd group: health

• 1st group: relationships
• 2nd group: career
• 3rd group: health

With the Six Month Evolution, you are going to learn what will happen to your life for the next six months. While there are only 10 cards - 5 major arcana and 5 minor arcana - the reading is done for a six month term.

Here's how to read the cards:

Major arcana n°1 is influenced by minor arcana n°1
Major arcana n°2 is influenced by minor arcana n°2
Major arcana n°3 is influenced by minor arcana n°3

and so on.

Let's take an example:

Major arcana 1 = The Magician
Minor arcana 1 = Ace of cups

There are two options depending on the situation of the consultant and the rest of the spread.

Meaning:
For a woman: the consultant will meet a man and start a new relationship.
For a woman and a man: opportunity to get a new job.

Major arcana 2 = The Star
Minor arcana 2 = 6 of swords

Meaning:
For a woman: the mentioned relationship won't last long.
For a woman and a man: this new job will probably be frustrating.

Therefore, the next two cards will bring something new to the consultant.

This is another spread that associates Tarot and Astrology. One choose 6 cards that we spread on each branch of the star (see picture above).

• The Sun represents the positive elements,
• The Moon is a feminine element,
• Venus relates to relationships,
• Mars is associated with battle, but as well to accidents,
• Mercury is the planet of communications, career,
• Uranus is related to surprises, unexpected things.

Once again, you'll associate astrology with tarot. In this method, the consultant will choose 12 major arcana and the fortune-teller will place them one on each House - starting with the first card on House 1. Here's what each card is related to:

House 1
The card placed on this House represent the consultant's personality.

House 2
These are the consultant's assets; whether money, a building, or anything else that is material and has a monetary value.

House 3
This House is the symbol of social life, relations between the consultant and their close relatives, friends, colleagues, etc.

House 4
The number four is the one of the family, father, mother.

House 5
Children are symbolized by House n° 5. It's also a symbol of maternity. The card placed on this House will therefore give information about a potential pregnancy, problems with children, etc.

House 6
This is the House that represents the consultants physical body, health, beauty, and anything else related to aesthetic.

House 7
The card placed on this House is generally viewed as the one of relationships, the future of a marriage, etc.

House 8
The House n°8 is the one of the death. However, any card placed on it is related to the spiritual field.

House 9
This is the House of travels. If the consultant is a person who travels a lot; whether for business or leisure this House and the card placed on it will be important to them.

House 10
This is the House that relates to the consultant's career, their occupation, job opportunities, and anything related to work.

House 11
With this House, the consultant will learn more on anything related to their friends and/or enemies.

House 12
The consultant will learn things on the obstacles which mark out their life, both events and people.
