90s TV Characters At Your Fingertips
This lens pays homage to characters of 90s television. It will likely be a work in progress for a while because I wanted to make the lens a little different by letting you guys have a lot of input. I have listed three of my favourites, but I want suggestions from all of you lovely people to help me grow this lens into the wonderful piece of internet memorabilia I know it can be.
I thought this would be a interesting switch, which is part of the reason I didn't make this a "top 10" list - I didn't want to be confined to a set number of characters. So I implore you to read through my picks and let me know what you think and tell me who I missed.

Al Bundy
Married With Children
Hands up if you'ved ever pulled an Al Bundy (stuck your hand in your pants while watching tv). Don't lie, you've all done it. Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) was a man's man... well a poor man's man. He was crash, avoided sex with his wife at all costs, and poorly liked. However, he always managed to provide for his family (kind of) while working as a shoes salesmen.Founder of No Ma'am, a high-school football hero, and porno connoisseur, Al Bundy was a lower class television legend. His antics on the show - anything from impromptu poems to accidental circumcision - have provided us with some of the best moments in 90s television. while distorting reality slightly, every man could relate in some way to Bundy. His cynicism and sarcasm biting at poverty in America.
Perhaps the greatest testament to the reality that was Al Bundy - a man never noticed for anything that he did well - was that Ed O'Neill never won any awards for his portrayal.

Frasier Crane
Cheers/Frasier
Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) is 90s television treasure. With appearances 203 episodes of "Cheers' from 1982-1993 before becoming the title character in the spin-off, "Frasier," for 264 episodes, the character of Frasier Krane spanned 20-years of television, tying for the longest run as a single character with Marshall Matt Dillon in "Gunsmoke."The classy, well-educated Crane is outwardly pompous, but loveable all the same because of his good heart and hilarious onscreen antics. Completely self-absorbed and obsessive over minute details, Fraiser would make a wonderful patient for himself. Indeed, Frasier's composed exterior sometimes did a terrible job of hiding his own idiosyncrasies - such as taking personal problems out on callers to his show, or the fact that he doesn't know how to ride a bike.
Winning four emmys for his role as Fraiser Krane in "Fraiser" as well as being nominated for "Cheers" and a guest appearance as Fraiser on "Wings," Kelsey Grammer created one of the most successful television characters of all time.

"Cosmo" Kramer
Seinfeld
Perhaps one of the most eccentric character on the list, Kramer (played by Michael Richards) screams 90s television. No one entered a room like Kramer - becoming his signature early on in the show, the entrance would elicit such a huge response from the audience that filming woud often be delayed.Kramer was an unemployed, frizzy haired, scheming man who you couldn't help but love. Richards brilliantly used slapstick humour and his gawky body type to make Kramer into a hugely successful character. Wearing perpetually out-of-date clothing that was too big, yet always too short, and smoking outlawed cubans, Kramer always went against the grain.
Some of television's funniest moments belong to Cosmo - Who can forget when Kramer became a Calvin Klein underwear model, or when he used butter to shave instead of shaving cream? The success of the character on one of the most popular shows of all time earned Richards three emmys for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series

Steve Urkel
Voted By You As The Most Annoying Character
A little while ago I gave you, the readers, the chance to weigh in on who you thought was the most annoying tv character of the 90s - Steve Urkel or Screech, and Urkel won.Steve Urkel (Jaleel White) was such a force on the Family Matters that the show often was referred to simply as Urkel (or at least it was in my household anyway). Perhaps everyone has an Urkel in their life, the neighbour or friend who is just so unbelievable annoying that just his voice makes you cringe. Granted that his antics were immensely entertaining at times, but there's no doubt about, the man was irritating. With the catch phrase, "did I do that" uttered in a nasally tone that could make your skin crawl Urkel was able get on your nerves will simultaneously make you piss yourself laughing.
No doubt about it Urkel was an annoying little bugger, but definitely a great - if not iconic - character of the 90s. The nerdy, clumsy next door neighbour who barges in unannounced and causes chaos in the shadow of his footsteps. He is probably one of the most recognizable characters on the list.

- You have my favorites - minus Erkle. The actor who played him is going to be on DWTS this season though. The 1990s - let's see - how about Ross Geller of Friends, and Joey and Chandler?
