Blogging Homeschool Moms who use a Charlotte Mason Philosophy
I enjoy reading blogs. That peek into another mom's daily life offers inspiration and focus. Yes, in fact, I am doing enough in our homeschool. Or perhaps, no, I'm not doing enough in this area, but this blog gives me some great ideas for how to get on track!
Here are my favorite Charlotte Mason themed blogs. The authors are all homeschooling moms who know what they are talking about. These are not theorists but daily practitioners who don't gloss over the realities of educating your children at home. They may blog about other topics, of course, but CM's gentle style of home education permeates their posts.
My Favorite CM Homeschooling Blogs
These are my own favorites, chosen without any voting or official rating system. These blogs are ones that consistently impress me with being real, with being true to CM ideals, and with offering a heavy dose of inspiration. You know, the kind of blog that leaves you thinking, "I could do that!" And then you do!
I'll change out the blogs listed here as I find new ones to feature.
Keep reading for a sneak peek at each blog. Then click over to see what goodies await in their archives.
Harmony Art Mom
I LOVE this blog. Barb's blog categories include: Art Appreciation, Charlotte Mason, Classical Music, Garden, High School, Nature Journal, and Tapestry of Grace.
Harmony Art Mom is the host of Sketch Tuesday, a weekly drawing exercise in which she gives a sketch theme. Participants send her the images which she uploads to a Flickr account. She also is the author of Harmony Fine Arts Homeschool curriculum.

Another favorite of mine is Nadene's Practical Pages blog. She has great insights into teaching children and shares them eloquently. Here posts are brimming with detail. Plus, she gives away lots of free printables -- notebooking pages, paperdolls, minibook templates, etc.

Amy and her five children (plus a husband, of course) live in Peru where they do plenty of nature study in their Charlotte Mason homeschool.

There are also posts about how to get started, materials that are helpful to have, and other tips.

This is my latest favorite blog! Get to know Laura Lee at Wasted Textbooks blog. She's a book lovin', cooking from scratch, CM homeschooling mom.

- If you haven't, you've got to check out (and add!) the blog Living Charlotte Mason in California to your list. It is a joint blog of several women in a group, and full of such great ideas. They've been featured a couple of times in the CM carnival, and *I think* should be added to your list. (BTW, I am not one of the ladies in the group. I live an ocean away.)
