Blogging Homeschool Moms who use a Charlotte Mason Philosophy
I enjoy reading blogs. That peek into another mom's daily life offers inspiration and focus. Yes, in fact, I am doing enough in our homeschool. Or perhaps, no, I'm not doing enough in this area, but this blog gives me some great ideas for how to get on track!
Here are my favorite Charlotte Mason themed blogs. The authors are all homeschooling moms who know what they are talking about. These are not theorists but daily practitioners who don't gloss over the realities of educating your children at home. They may blog about other topics, of course, but CM's gentle style of home education permeates their posts.
My Favorite Charlotte Mason Homeschooling Blogs
These are simply my own opinions. There was no voting or official rating system. These blogs are ones that consistently impress me with being real, with being true to CM ideals, and with offering a heavy dose of inspiration. You know, the kind of blog that leaves you thinking, "I could do that!" And then you do!Here's the list in no certain order. Keep reading for a sneak peek at each blog. Then click over to see what goodies await in their archives.

Harmony Art Mom is the host of Sketch Tuesday, a weekly drawing exercise in which she gives a sketch theme. Participants send her the images which she uploads to a Flickr account. She also is the author of Harmony Fine Arts Homeschool curriculum.

Melissa blogs about faith and homeschooling under a huge number of categories. Here is a sampling: Amphibian Study, Art and Music, Bible, Birding, Butterflies and Moths, Charlotte Mason, Dictation, Gardening, Hands On Learning, History, Language Arts, Math, Nature Crafts, Nature Journaling, and Poetry. Wow! There's not much related to a CM homeschool that Melissa doesn't blog about.

Cindy's multitude of blogging categories include loads of helpful topics. Here is a sample: Art, Artist Study, Bible, Composer Study, Curriculum, Family, Field Trips, Foreign Language, Geography, Graphing, Handicrafts and Life Skills, Health, History, Lapbooking, Living Math, Nature Study, Notebooking, Spelling, Unit Studies, and Writing.
She's super crafty and creative. I love her ideas, always executed with a Charlotte Mason flair. She describes herself as using "a very eclectic style - mostly Charlotte Mason mixed with classical. We love unit studies, lapbooking and notebooking. And books, books, books! Personally, I love to encourage and inspire homeschoolers new and old."
