5 Proven Gut-Busting Ab Exercises For Men
Front Plank (Ball): This may sound easy but it's quite difficult to do. Here you are to rest your hands on a flat bench with your feet on the exercise ball and then tense your ab muscles. Hold this for 60 seconds then repeat.Oblique Crunches (Ball): Begin by placing either hip on the exercise ball, make sure that your torso is not touching the ball. Then do standard oblique crunches. Put your feet against the wall for support. Hold for 3 seconds and do 10 reps. Repeat this for the other side.
Reverse Crunches: This one is a little more intense than standard reverse crunches. Lie on a flat bench with your hips off the end of the bench. Then do the crunch motion using your stomach muscles. To make it even more difficult, pull your legs to your chest. Hold for 3 seconds before releasing - 10 reps total.
Wipers: Lie on your back with your legs perpendicular to the ground. Rotate your legs all the way to the left and all the way to the right in a "windshield wiper" motion. Do 10 reps. making sure your hips stay planted.
Jack knife: This one's not for beginners, you need conditioned ab muscles and a strong lower back. Lie on your back and lift your legs and upper body trying to touch your toes. Hold this for 3 seconds - 10 reps total.
These hardcore routines will give you the best ab workout men - guaranteed to give you the rock hard washboard abs that you always wanted. But remember, a proper six pack means a proper diet and cardio exercise as well, miss any part of this "abs triangle" and you will not see the results you desire.
