Typically these shoes are made out of memory foam or feature some other support mechanism for your arch. Often support slippers are designed with extra padding in the heel bed for people that experience heel spurs and need some good, comfy slippers. All sorts of feet problems can be made a little more bearable with support slippers, including overprontation, bunions, hammer toes and plantar fasciitis.

Support Inserts and Other Options

If you have found a pair of slippers that you love but that do not offer enough support, you may be wondering what to do about that. Trust me, I've had the same problem plenty of times. And not just with slippers! I often buy shoes that are supposed to be super comfortable but end up not being the best shoe for my feet. Once you have been wearing the shoes you can't return them. Since you're stuck with them, you have to make the most of it. You can wear them as they are and get a lot of foot pain, or you can try to fix them up a bit and make them a bit more wearable. That is what I usually choose to do. In fact, I have tried so many different inserts and extra support systems for my shoes that don't fit comfortably that I can tell you what is the best out there to buy. So check out my recommendations below for slippers or other shoes that need a little extra comfort.

The Haflinger Classic Grizzly Bavarian Trim Clog is truly the best women's support slipper that I have found. I suffer from a variety of different foot ailments and find that the arch support, heel support and wide toe box of this slipper really keep my feet happy and feeling good. And best of all - these support slippers look good enough to wear outside the home, so I often go to the grocery store and other places wearing them. And guess what? No one knows they are slippers. I've even gotten compliments on them at the post office!
