The Best Article Submitters: Article Submission Software

You will have heard this before, and I'll make no apologies for saying it again. Content is king when it comes to the Internet. Fresh and relevant content both on your site, and in article directories feeding backlinks and page rank into your site, is the key to success. It is the lifeblood by which websites gain new audiences, keep existing ones, and continually improve their page ranking in search engines.

It is a common misconception that submitting your website to search engines will lift your site up in the rankings. But the truth is that despite what the SEO companies say, this does not get your web page better ranking unless there is almost no competition. That is a misconception about Search Engine Optimization that has been going around for quite sometime.

Submitting your articles to article directories is the best way to promote your web site. If you think that you have no skills in writing just search for "Content Writers", or "Article Writers" and you will see a long list of sites that offer these services. You will find that article writing rates are not high and the articles you receive will be unique and therefore much more effective than PLR article content.

Submit you articles to Ezinearticles dot com first because this is the best article site, and all articles are read by a human before they are accepted. Rewrite the article by at least one third, and then submit it to the other top article directories.

The top article directories (e.g. Ezinearticles) produce statistics that show up in your member area, with details of how many people read your articles. As you develop your portfolio strategy and it becomes effective you can then boost your results by writing within your area of expertise and increasing your submission frequency.

Many of the top article directories will allow you to use html in your resource box. This means that you can hyperlink your keywords and everywhere your article, and hence your resource box with the hyperlinked keywords, are posted there is a keyword that links directly to your site.


Internet browsers go from the search engines to your article and onto your niche store which you will have linked to in the author bio box at the bottom of your article. Secondly, other webmaster, bloggers and ezine publishers use the articles in these directories as content for their visitors. However, as they do so they are required to preserve the link back to your site, with obvious good effects on site management.

Internet marketing is so simple. Sometimes I think people over complicate it. Internet savvy people know about affiliate marketing and most of the time will strip your affiliate URL if they decide to buy the product.

Signing up for a free article account in each of the directories is simple. Go to the sign-up page. Click on the button next to the package you want. Then simply visit their articles homepage to learn more about the various packages on offer for article directory submission. Plus, we recommend that you only need to submit to article directories that of a Google PR of 2 or more.

Google and the rest of the search engines frequently visit the higher ranked article directories and will pick up on the link to your website in your 'author's resource', or bio. When they find your site, you get listed, and that can happen in less than 24 hours. Google is most likely to notice and index the types of links which are to and from related sites though. For example, if your website is about cars and you trade links with a site about flowers, it probably won't help your site very much at all.

I have found that I is not necessary to submit your articles to a very large number of article directories, but you do need to send them to between 15 and 20 of the top Directories.

There are a number of Article Directory Submission softwares available, but only three that I have found which do this with one click once the have been set-up. The others simply help you to post to each Article Directory, by pasting in the article as you arrive on the site. However, these applications don't usually log you in beforehand, or select categories or pen name, and logging in manually to do this each time rapidly becomes a time consuming and tedious chore.

However, article directory submission provides free advertising and links, and it is a well established and dependable source of targeted traffic, which simply cannot be ignored.

So, we recommend that all those serious in marketing their web sites do at least invest in article submission software, if nothing else.

That Ezine Articles has been voted the most popular free article site, is hardly a surprise. Chris Knight's was one of the very first articles sites, and has always stood out from the rest for its quality. No other article site has taken so much care to ensure that all articles allowed in are original and well written, and the human checking of every article which takes place is second to none.

It can take some time to understand fully what is required in order to produce acceptable articles for EzineArticles publication, but if you are experiencing problems with acceptance I would say that it is well worthwhile persevering until you can submit and get 90% approved first time around. That is because the value of a link from Ezine Articles is several times more effective than a link from almost any other of the free articles websites.

Chris Knights found his site hit by a reduction of traffic soon after Google introduced the Panda algorithm update earlier this year (2011), but he was not daunted, in my view he just used it to spur the site on to be better optimised, more focused, less advert strewn, and more relevant.

I have about 500 articles on the EzineArticles website, from several pen names, and I am sure that it is the biggest provider of Google link juice of all the methods I use. Best of all it is long-lasting Google "love" it provides, and a provider of highly relevant direct traffic to your linked pages, as well.

GoArtilcles is also very popular and is one of my favourite article directories as well. It is surprising that it does so well as the site accepts and publishes all articles submitted immediately without any quality control, and always has. Article quality is highly variable, however, the articles submitted are suprisingly well ranked by Google. I suspect that one reason that GoArticles is so successful for its submitting authors is that the more savvy long-time article writers also use the fact that the article link is available at GoArticles, to immediatlay ping the article url. Indeed article submission software will often do this automatically, but is unable to efficiently ping the sites, like EzineArticles, which need time to read and approve the submitted material before making it available online, and cannot therefore be automatically pinged easily.

I am surprised that Buzzle did not receive any votes. Buzzle is a "one-of-its-kind" experience for authors, and all submisions are human read and checked before appearing on their site. The amount of Google "love" from their links used to be very high as a result, but like EzineArticles they seem to have been hit by the Google Panda algo update. Since then, Buzzle, like EzineArticles has made a big effort to improve quality and relevance although it always seemed very good already, however, they seem to me to treat their authors quite badly, and articles seemed in the early summer (of 2011) to just sit waiting without any review for weeks, and then be summarily rejected without any ability for the author to understand why the rejection occurred. So buzzle is no longer one of my favourite free article submission sites.

Finally, don't dismiss ArticleSnatch. I've found my articles from their site popping up in the SERPs on many more occasions than for many of the other sites.
