Music is life, and it inspires! I started out on Valencia nylon string beginner acoustic guitars all those years ago, and i still play one today. I recall many years ago, travelling the streets of Europe with a trusty brand new Valencia guitar slung over my shoulder. It lived with me through rain, through hail, in the sunshine, from the big central square in the city of Edinburgh one warm summer, to the streets of Berlin, London, and Paris.

It came with me through the good times and the not so good times. Sleeping on the streets of Paris may sound romantic to some, and i suppose in hindsight it was for me, but i also remember many a cold, sleepless night, as i found a cardboard box behind a church, or up a dark, damp laneway to rest my weary bones, and caress my ever true new friend. My guitar was my passport too, and a great icebreaker. The language of music is an International, and timeless one. It helped feed me, as i would often literally sing for my supper! And the people you meet. The memories. That, my friends, is the treasure.

So, i can tell you that this guitar (and i) survived the streets of Europe for around 2 years, and despite a few little nicks and scratches, it looks great, and sounds and plays better than ever. I think Valencia should maybe sponsor me from now on. ha! But seriously, this is a guitar you should look at, and a reliable great sounding first, or second, third, fourth guitar.

You want to start with a nylon string guitar, which are also known as classical guitars, as the nylon strings are easier on the fingers for a beginner.
You will develop hardened fingertips after a little practice, which is what you are after.

Valencia guitars, and i've played many, are very comfortable to play, well made, cheap to buy, and sound excellent for a beginner guitar.
The construction is sturdy, solid, and sound, and i have one that i donated to a drop in community centre about 15 years ago, that is still going strong, and yep, it has a couple of nicks and scratches now, but it still sounds great.
In fact, like all wooden guitars and musical instruments, it just sounds better with age.
