- You can use just about any type of chocolate - chocolate chips, chocolate bars, etc. If you use the chocolate fountain link I've provided above to click over to the Amazon site, you can watch a video of the chocolate fountain being set up and used. In the video they used 24 oz of chocolate chips, and 3/4 cup of oil. They melted the mixture in the microwave (but you could also use the stovetop) before putting it into the chocolate fountain. Hope that helps!
