When buying a Chromebook you can decide between a laptop model with built-in 3G, or the usual Wi-Fi internet connection.
3G in Chromebook includes 2 years of up to 100MB per month of Mobile Broadband, provided by Verizon Wireless. If you need more you can pay as you go, but it's more than enough for the average user! This allows you to always stay connected - at home, on the bus or when travelling.
If you forego 3G, you can still use the internet using a Wi-Fi connection in your home or at any hotspot.

- The "next big thing" usually ends up being the last big thing at some point> They're becoming popular, but aren't so great if you use computer for other things - the smaller ones are good for travel, though at this point, I'll probably wait til they come out with a tablet that will do the same thing.
