2.1 million cribs were recalled? Holy moly, that is an incredible number. I thought I heard that all convertible cribs were to be taken off the market? You know, that the sides couldn't come down?
  • TheGreenerMe Jan 1, 2010 @ 4:00 pm | delete
Hi Julie! It's actually the drop-side cribs that are being taken off the market. Those cribs had easily drop-down sides that could potentially harm your baby. What was happening was the infant would get caught between the crib and the mattress, wedged in-between. These beds don't have that problem, and have stationary sides. To convert the crib, you would need the conversion rail kit. So, the sides are stationary on these, and they have been JPMA certified.
