My old desktop had reached it's capacity with a full hard drive and outdated memory capabilities so I researched the Top Rated Desktop Computers 2012 and after using my nephew's Macbook I decided to purchase a Apple iMac 24-Inch Desktop
I'm very impressed with this unit mainly because of the ease of use in recording my guitar on Garageband and the in the streamlined photo and video editing and sharing features. I also don't miss the constant virus updates and patches I'd grown accustomed to with Windows on my old machine.

I prefer PC over mac mainly because for the price of a mac you can build an awesome PC with most of the best hardware and come out on top. Also a plus to building your own is having a better video card then the on-board version alot of the store bought PC's have.

I'm a PC guy... I just feel like I can get better hardware when I build my own or purchase a PC than I can when purchasing a MAC. I have had the occasional virus in the past that I've had to "google" in order to remove - however, it's never been a problem and I don't use Anti-Virus software - just free Malwarebytes.

I'd go for PC's. They're more reliable and stable. Many viruses out there, but also there's many good anti-virus softwares for PC computers. Maybe install Linux on the PC machine and it will run better than before.

I can run ten Photoshop files with multiple layers along with, Indesign, Bridge, Illustrator, while checking e-mail and, uploading a website. Pulse I don't have to worry about viruses and so much more.
