I was hesitant to purchase an engagement ring online, but now that I have, I'm glad I went this route. The ring arrived a day before expected in very protective packaging. It came in a polished wood box with a leather interior, which was very attractive (and my fiancee still uses it to hold the ring when she has to take it off). There is no certification or appraisal certificate, which I was upset about, but the diamond itself is well cut (it reflects light wonderfully), and whoever cut the stone definitely didn't sacrifice quality in favor of size. The color is a little more "yellow" than I expected, but against the white and on a finger, it's not noticeable. The gold is good, and there are no problems with tarnishing or lost finish.
A comprable ring, in a jewelery store, was around $1000. Buying it online, I saved almost $600, and was able to put the savings toward our wedding.

Purchased this ring and was a little skeptic the quality wouldn't be there - but I was wrong. My jeweler even commented on how it was a great ring and his favorite design. They were able to resize it without any problems and even took out some of the gold in the middle to fit in a bigger diamond. It turned out perfect and we'll see on Valentine's Day if she thinks it is too.

The ring itself is a classic design, with 6 prongs, which make the diamond really pop. The diamond is clear, w/o any noticeable imperfections. I received this ring as and engagement ring and let me tell you I love it. I thought for the price that the diamonds would be horrible but the only flaws are what can be seen under a microscope...I took it to a jeweler. The center stone looks like its one carat in itself beautiful setting. One drawback, please read all the fine print because they do not give you an option when ordering to resize so it comes in a little spot that states the size.
