What Are The Best Exercises To Reduce Stomach?

Are you doing crunch after crunch only to realize that you are not lowering that much of your belly fat? You are not alone.

Having tried exercise after exercise I finally found the best exercises to reduce stomach. And I think you'll be surprised to find out about them.

The Absolute Best Exercises to Reduce Stomach: Cardio!

Cardio exercises are hands-down the best exercises to reduce stomach.

Many people think that they only have to do endless sets of crunches to see results, but the trick is to lower your body fat. However, to get the best results from cardio, you have to take the smart route: interval training.

This means running at intervals of high-pace and normal-pace exercises. So, for instance you run 30 seconds at your maximum, and then 1 minute at a moderate intensity. This way you will experience an amazing boost in your metabolism!

The Best Abdominal Exercise Scientifically Proved!

If you want to tone your abs muscles and achieve a more "tight look", you'll need to perform stomach exercises. Researchers at the University of San Diego have found that the "Bicycle Maneuver" is the exercise that triggers the most activity on the stomach muscles. Here's how to do it:

# Lie on the floor; make sure your lower back is pressed on the ground.
# Take your hands behind your ears. Then bring up your knees at a 45 degree angle.
# Start doing a bicycle pedalling motion. Touch your elbow with the opposite knee (right elbow with left knee and so on, alternating)
# Breathe relaxed and evenly throughout the whole exercise.

Tip: Don't Forget About Your Diet!

Your diet plays an important role to achieve fast weight loss. You can do exercise after exercise, but if you keep devouring that Big Mac everyday, your chances of slimming down will be very small.

Dieting doesn't mean getting into special fad diets. Not at all, instead, it means re-educating yourself. It involves learning to know when to stop, and what are the foods that will help you both physically and mentally.

The topic of food is very extensive, but the rick is to keep it simple: eat healthy, eat only until you are full, nurture your body with the essential nutrients.

There is also food that helps burn fat, this is called fat burning food or negative calorie food, and you can use it in your diet combination for even better results!

If, on the other hand, you want to try fast weight loss diets, it would be a good idea to first go under a health check to see if you can follow them. Remember to avoid fads and go for fast methods that do work. One of those I recommend is the 6 Week Body Makeover.

Core Exercises to Reduce Stomach

Working your core section is a great way to look slimmer, achieve a better posture and improve performance in every physical activity and sport. The core section of your body involves the muscles in the center area, but most importantly, your inner abs: the transverse abdominal muscle, a muscle that goes to the side and the back.

When you work this muscle, the muscle that "holds" your stomach will tighten, and your belly will be contained. Even if you perform these exercises for the first time, you will notice after performing them, that your stomach will look smaller.

The Plank. Start by lying down on the floor, resting on your forearms or palms, and your toes. This initial posture looks like the initial posture of the push-up. Now all you have to do is hold the position for 30-60 seconds, keeping a straight line from your ankles to your head. The core strength is what will keep your body that way.

After time goes on, drop to the floor and repeat 2-5 times.

The Vacuum. This is a simple but great exercise to get your inner muscles hard as steel. Start by letting all the air in your lungs out, while doing this push your bellybutton to your spine as hard as you can. When all air is out, you should hold the contraction for 20 seconds. To breath, take really small bursts of air that won't ruin the contraction. Again repeat 2-5 times.

Many people overlook these exercises, but they are really important to get great results. Even more important than crunches. And the best thing about them is that you can do them anywhere, specially the vacuum.

You Do Not Need Special Machines to Get The Abs You Want!

Many people in the craze to get the desired stomach and get rid of excess fat, fall into the advertisements of ab machines that promise you to transform you into a fitness model in no time. This is a total waste of time.

According to research made by doctors and real fitness specialists, these ab machines don't have any magical power that can give you the power of your dreams. In fact, doing the best exercises to reduce stomach, like the bicycle mentioned in this page will have a better impact than the one ab machines give you.

Instead of machine you can use simple gym equipment that will help you develop abs thanks to resistance. Two of these items are part of my accessories pack: a medicine ball and a chin-up bar. Now, they are not fancy and are certainly cheap to acquire. They help me adding resistance to my moves in some exercises, and well the chin-up bar also helps me to develop other muscle groups.

There's nothing more discouraging that spending big bucks on the Super-Ab-Sixpackizer only to find out that it doesn't work as easy as they say. Save your money, and keep you mind away from false discouragement.
