There are currently 2 similar flight sims on the market - namely ProFlightSimulator and Microsoft flight simulator x. All four of us here at Iflightsimulator.net are members of the flight simulator network where we review top flight simulator games. Both of these seem similar so we wrote to the creator of ProFlightSimulator and Microsoft flight simulator x to clear things up. We thought it would be good to get a different perspective of the differences and have them clarify the issue. So this article is a review of ProFlightSimulator and Microsoft flight simulator x.

Our conclusion? ProFlightSimulator is a MUCH BETTER product in comparison to Microsoft Flight Simulator x. Here are our findings as to why ProFlightSimulator is a FAR SUPERIOR product:

MONTHLY UPDATES:

Within 3 weeks of our purchase, we had a new update from Pro flight simulator. The next update will be coming in 1 months' time. They offer far more frequent updates than all other flight simulators, Heck a lot of flight simulators don't even have updates. They just release a new product and make you buy it all over again. There will be ten more new aircrafts to play with and 50 more scenery packs in the next update they send out. This offers far more valuable than Microsoft Flight Simulator x.

COMPATIBILITY AND CUSTOM LAUNCHER:

Pro flight simulator has a new 3.0 custom launcher that makes launching a new game easier. It is compatible with multiple operating systems and supports more hardware configurations that Microsoft flight simulator x.

We couldn't get Microsoft Flight Simulator x to run properly on any of our systems. Microsoft Flight Simulator x is very laggy and it crashed more than once in our extended period of testing. However, with Pro Flight Simulator, we were able to run the simulator very smoothly even multiplayer, we had no issues.

VIDEO TUTORIALS:

These video tutorials were made easy for anyone to learn how to fly the aircraft. There are easy-to-follow video tutorials to make sure you are up and running in no time. I couldn't find this in Microsoft Flight Simulator x. There are also illustrated guides spanning over 100+ pages which you can refer to at any time during the flight.

BETTER HARDWARE INTERFACING:

We were able to use my Saitek and Logitech joysticks with ProFlightSimulator with ease. We had some issues getting them to work with Microsoft Flight Simulator x- it worked for sometimes and sometimes it didn't. ProFlightSimulator comes with easy joystick configuration options that syncs with your existing hardware. They completely eliminate all the troubles and hassles of getting your hardware to work. If someone like Dave who once asked, "How do you turn this thing on" can do it, anyone can!

Conclusion?
ProFlightSimulator offers MORE VALUE for money (great updates!) and is a *much better* game . It also has a higher chance to work with your system. The 4 free bonuses they give certainly sweetens the deal.
