Awesome! Thank you for sharing your treasures. I found a nice horn coral today, but I would love to find a Trilobite. I keep looking, so hopefully........

Nice lens! Do you sell any of your trilobites?
  • James20 Feb 14, 2011 @ 9:28 am | delete
Jerry thanks for stopping by and taking a look. No I do not sell the trilobites that I find. I would think they would not be worth much anyways.

Thank you for taking us along on your hunts, hunting trilobites has to be addictive. All you have to do is find one and you are hooked for life. How exciting to hold one you found in your hand. I've never found anything like a trilobite, but would love to. I was to Lake Superior a few years ago and sure and sure enjoyed hunting rocks and lake glass along the shore. Well done, very personal and very interesting.

My husband is a trilobite collector and I have opened a shop on Zazzle.com. It has t-shirts, prints and gifts for the trilobite fan with pictures of his collection. If you are interested, it is Fat Boy Fossils at Zazzle

My husband is always finding interesting rocky artifacts in the soil around our home. He thinks they're ancient tools or parts of weapons ... I dunno, but the fossils are definitely ancient life preserved. Cool lens, your kids are learning wonderful lessons and having fun with Dad! 5*.

Wow, this was very interesting. Reminds me of the time my family went to "dinasour park" in Glenrose, Tx looking for dinasour "foot prints" very exciting. Wonder if there were trilobites there---didn't know to look for those.

I have Trilobites all over my house! We took a family trip to a place called U Dig Fossils in Utah a couple of years ago and had so much fun digging them out of the shale. It's a really great activity and we found some really excellent specimens. Being the first human being to ever see something is quite a spiritual thing, uncovering something that lived millions of years ago.

Amazing Lens. I marked as a favorite. I want my 10 year old to read this. she is intrigued with fossils. I can still read the lens but it might be better to change the font color to something a little softer. Overall great photos and content!

Great lens! It's brilliant that you have shared something that is fun for all the family - your son and nephew are very lucky :)

I found it hard to bother reading because of the red text. Really hard on the eyes. Why make it hard for the reader?
