My family traveled to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in 2004 and it was one of the most memorable vacations we have ever had the joy of experiencing.

- My husband and I visited Best Friends about twelve years ago, and I'll never forget it, especially the sweet kitty that was rescued from a clothes dryer. It looked ... well, rough ... but it was so loving. What a wonderful place that is, even if it's a bit gut-wrenching to go there in some ways. They really do take great care of all the animals.

- My brother in law help them out - he was there for Katrina and now for Ike - it is very sad those animals left behind, but they do a great job. You can see my brother in law on the cover of the book Paw prints of Kartina. What an amazing bunch of people they are - I have 9 rescues of my own. See some of my Animals pages.
