Squidoo's Top 10 Board Game Lenses

Board games have been played for thousands of years all over the world. Some are simple, some quite complicated, but all are great fun.

As the volunteer Squid Angel watching over the Games category, I've read many great lenses about board games. These a few of my favorites.

There are many other great board games lenses as well, so I have included a section of Honorable Mentions, which I recommend you check out.

1. Traditional Mexican Bingo Game - Loteria

by boutiqueshops

Boutiqueshops does a wonderful job introducing a board game that I was previously unaware of. It is the Mexican bingo game called Loteria. What is immediate striking about this game is the gorgeous imagery of the cards. There is a great display here of modern and classic versions of the game.

2. Great Board Games To Play With Your Family!

by Janiece

One thing I love about board games is that they bring families together. A game can get a 5 year old and a 12 year old to sit down together and play and laugh together. Janiece knows all to well how much fun a board game can be. After all, she owns over 120 of them! Janiece gives a great overview of the games her family enjoys the most.

Candy Land is one of those quintessential kids games, and one that is great for introducing kids to board games in general. Children that can't yet read can play CandyLand, so it is great for including all members of the family. WindyWinters does an excellent job presenting the game, its history, and gameplay.

9. Tiddlywinks

by quippingqueen

A game doesn't require a cardboard "board" to be a board game in my world. Tiddlywinks is a fun game for all ages that has passed down the generations. With a silly name (as many games have), this one is all in the hand. Quippingqueen will have you smiling and remembering your youth with this lens:
