Ghost Hunting Equipment: The Best Ghosthunting Ever

With the great success of Ghost Hunters, there has been re-newed interest in the field of paranormal investigations (also known as Ghost Hunting). Since I was a child I have been fascinated with the unknown, and even while I was in highschool, I dreamt of becoming a paranormal investigator. This was enforced with my own personal experiences dealing with close personal friend I lost to a car accident. I firmly believe that he came back to communicate with me, and that definitely solidified my belief in the existence of a spirit world.

When it comes down to performing solid paranormal investigations you wequippedd to be equiped with the basics. From the basics, you can expand your tool box to include high-end equipment, and eventually provide a tool set for your team.

Below, I will give a simple break down of basic tools you should have.

DVR or Digital Voice Recorders
Digital Voice Recorders are usually hand held voice recorders for aretation, but aer a essential tool for paranormal investigators. These are often used to capture EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomena. Digital voice recorders are preferred to the older tape recorders, since tapes can contain artifacts and are often noisier than digital. Also digital is cheaper due to the fact you will not need to buy tapes.

Electronic Voice Phenomena is where voices or unusual sounds are captured on to a recording device. These voices could be residual sounds from the past, or could be interactive communication with spirit entities. Usually EVPs are not heard during the investigation but heard during the analysis.

EMF Meters or Electro-Magnetic Field Meters
It is entitieszed that enties or spirit manifestations or basically a form of energy. This has obviously not been proven, but there seems to be correlation between spirit activity with the fluctuation of the electro-magnetic field. Using a EMF-Meter, you will be able to establish a room EMF baseline and detect spikes. Along with spikes, you will also be able to find electronic deemit that can emmit high levels of EMFs, which can cause physical and psychological ailments.

Digital Cameras
Here is a piece of equipment that almost everyone will already have. If not, these can be purchased at low expense. Depending on what quality of pictures you want to take, you may need to upgrade to a higher mega-pixel camera. Digital cameras can canomalousbs or anomylous vapors. It is important to note that many of these images are duflenselight andinadvertentlys inadvertantly captured. Orbs or 'balled energy' is often captured, but usually orbs are reflections of dust, bugs or reflection of the lense. All evidence should be carefully examined before presented as paranormal proof.

Thermometers
Along with the EMF Meters, thermometers can be used to determine cold spots within a room or area. As a spirit object uses energy to materialize or communicate, it is often thought that it can leave a 'cold' or 'warm' spot in the room. This spot can maidissipaten area, dispate quickly or move. Again, it is important to identify drafts, open windows, and any duct work that may cause this. Using thermometersred themometers can allow you to gather more concrete evidence during your investigations.

CCTV or Closed Circuit Television
Here is where we get a little hi-tech. Using a closed circuit television system, you'll be able to set up various infrared security cameras and control them from a central location. This is great to maintain 'set' shots of occupied and non-occupied rooms. Costs rise when you are dealing with CCTV, but the quality of investigations raise when you include one or more of these systems.
