The Best Ghost Stories Ever

This story is not only about my old house but about my brothers old apartment. I'm a very religious person so when I experience something I know its real. My old house used to be an old dump and it was my mothers childhood home. I remember we used to go there every Christmas. This was before we moved in.

Every pet that died there was buried there. It was a true pet cemetery. When my family moved in everything seemed normal. It wasn't until I got a pet cat that things started happening. The entities, I think they were demons, made themselves known first to my cat. He would go crazy and run around the whole house as if he was chasing something meowing in a strange way.

Some nights when my mom went to the casino, at the time it was only my mom, sister and my brother, would stay. Sometimes me and my sister would be alone and my mom would stay out really late with my grandparents. I would be watching TV with the lights out and my sister would be in the other room. My cat would jump on the arm of the couch above my head and stay there thrashing his tail and staring at something. He would then jump down and run. It startled me. I knew at that moment we weren't alone in the place.

My sister had experiences; one time she was chasing someone in the house, she thought it was me but I was in the backyard. Also one night she was in my room sitting on the floor watching TV. My brother was asleep on the bed next to her. She heard something behind her like someone stepping on the carpet, she said it looked like me, then it ran, but I was in the living room watching TV the whole time.

My experiences were frightening also. One night I was in bed and I woke from my sleep I felt someone grab my shoulder and shake me. It finally stopped and I looked behind me and no one was there. I grabbed my sleeping cat from the top bunk and ran. My bunk bed, almost every night, would shake. Sometimes it would be my cat grooming himself but it happened when he was sleeping with me.

The story of my brothers old apartment is equally as frightening. It was Edgewater Bend Apartments in Biloxi by the mall. I would stay the night and hear footsteps on the living room floor where me and his girlfriends kid was sleeping. I also, some nights, would feel something playing with my hair. They moved out, thank god.

The thing about these places was I felt something in them, something evil. I know there were not only ghosts but demonic spirits. That's my true stories, feel free to leave a comment.

It was raining. We were bored, so we decided to play a game. I called our friends. So they came and we got started. Then Christian pulls out the Ouija Board game and Noel sets it up. Then we began the game. We asked "what's your name" it say's "David." Then we asked "well David, how'd you die"? It says "suicide." Then we asked, "why are you here"? David says "I have something I want to tell you." We asked what it wass. It said, "you're in danger."

We turned on the TV and it turned itself off. Then the remote went flying across the room. We started to freak. Then we heard voices coming from upstairs. We nearly went ballistic. Noel and Christian went to go check out the noise. They saw nothing.

While Christian and Noel were upstairs, Selena and I, saw something strange coming from the bedroom. We screamed. They came rushing down the stairs. We were in shock. We said we wanted to stop. But they wanted to keep going. We went out of the room, and ran to Selena's room. But we felt bad leaving Christian and Noel alone. So we went back downstairs. Everything seemed fine after that. So we continued.

Noel asked a question this time, he asked "when did you die"? David said "1947". I asked "how old are you?" David said "17" And it's kinda freaky because we're all about 15 to 16. So then, Selena asked "why'd you kill yourself" David said "because she didn't love me, the way I loved her." I asked, who's "she"? He points to Selena. Then we all start to laugh, then David flips the board and then he throws the piece across the room. Then we started to run. We never played that game again!

When I was 11, my school (which was well known to be haunted) had a ghost in my classroom. Me and the other students nicknamed him Gary, and he appeared to be harmless, just reading books in the little library in the corner of the room.

He would pull the books off of the shelves and read them, but never put them back. Sometimes he wandered around and we could hear his deep breathing. It was likely he was an asthmatic when alive, as we heard the deep breathing spring and summer. He tended to vanish when it got colder.

Gary never harmed anyone, but people still feared entering the classroom alone. The first time Gary hurt someone was autumn, just before the period of time he would vanish. It was 'silent reading' and some boys who sat near Gary's corner started talking and refused to stop. A book came flying through the air from the library and whacked one of the boys on the back of the head. We stopped talking during reading time after that.

The second time was when a window was accidentally smashed by three boys playing catch in the classroom. The window in question was right next to Gary's corner. All three boys felt like someone was trying to choke them for weeks.

Gary never hurt anyone after that, but people grew much more cautious. Gary could still be in the school - I left it four years ago - but I dearly hope he's gone.

My family and I used to go to my dad's sister's house up on a hill. The House looked very scary, like an old Halloween house. My dad was putting crosses up everywhere in the house. He went upstairs to put a cross in the three bedrooms, and he kept hearing footsteps downstairs. He decided to go downstairs and he looked at the crosses and they were upside down. Dad Hollered at me and asked me if I moved the crosses and I said, "No dad, they were the same way you had put them." At that moment, I saw a shadow, black as the night. I was scared, but my dad was not, it didn't bother him. I told dad I can't be here, and dad said wait a minute and we will leave. At that moment when I was waiting for my dad, someone had touched my shoulder and was pulling my hair. I screamed for my dad, I was so scared. We finally moved and I still have bad dreams about that place, but one thing, It seems like it follows you whereever you go. Now in the new house we have some strange things going on. Kinda creepy I would say!

I'm an Australian and spent the younger years of my life at the rural mining town of Mount Isa. Not a long way out of the city there is a gorge called Mary Kathleen, an old uranium mine, where I had my ghostly encounter. it basically looks like a large hole filled with water, and at the bottom of it there is the whitest and softest looking sand you have ever seen in your life - except that it is poisonous silt left over from the mining.

Years ago foreign travelers used to go swimming in the alluring Mary Kathleen, and the uranium silt would make them very sick - not fatally sick, just ill enough to render them hospitalized. When I was just a little kid, back in 2004, my family went there for a visit, as it is very beautiful and our extended family had come to visit. We stood at the side of this enormous gorge, and I remember the drilled rock being at least 50 meters tall above our heads, and below there was the deep, crystal clear water, which changes colour throughout the year.

I looked up at the tall sides of Mary Kathleen, and saw a slender, tall Asian man, with short black hair and glasses, peering down into the water, like he was about to jump. He wore jeans and a white long sleeved shirt with vertical blue stripes. I stared and he didn't notice we were there, but when I finally blinked he disappeared.

I didn't dare say anything to my family, as they are a bunch of skeptics. I can remember it extremely clearly, and it was only a few months after I saw the man at Mary Kathleen looking down into the water that I found out about the foreign backpacker's antics. I wonder if maybe one of backpackers eventually died from being ill in his own country and came back to gorgeous Mary Kathleen, however it could have just been my fertile imagination, but I suppose I'll never know.

My names Devin, I'm female and I'm 14, the first paranormal thing that has happened to me was when I was very little, I was outside playing in the sandpit while my brother helped my mother making lunch, then all of a sudden water kept pelting me. I ran inside crying accusing my brother. He was inside and no one was outside than me.

Second time was while camping with my family in Kentucky this spring, my parents have gone asleep and I went outside to the cooler for a water bottle. Over by the pond down the hill, were glowing lights, and they kept moving towards me. Being 14, I freaked out and ran inside.

When I got back to school, the same things that happened the year before happened again. I could start, well, knowing what would happen in the next minute. What would exactly happen. I thought it was really cool and I told my mom, but she just said I was imagining things.

The house I live in has a ghost, its an old lady who died from a heart attack, she turns on the TVs, fans, and she recently killed my camera. There has always been a cold spot in one corner of my room, so I assume that's where she is. I was curious about ghosts so I Googled it, Ouija stories came up. I wanted one so me and a few friends got one from K-mart and tried it out at her house, she said there is a mean one. We tried it out in her room, and I got the feeling, right as I walked in her house as, something abnormal is here. We tested it out in her room and water bottles went flying, she got tickled and something was watching us, we all felt it, then a black cloud was in the room, we all freaked and ran.

We went outside and my friend was possessed, she kept walking with a blank stare towards the road to the old folks home nearby saying something wants me. We finally dragged her back and we saw something black following us. We freaked and went in her basement I got a sense of protection and comfort, we tried the board down there since up there we got a demon and a trickster, and we never got answers on the board, no matter what, but we all randomly got emotional and cried. We sorta understood that the basement ghost was my friends dead mother who passed away when she was 5.

Upstairs later we saw the ghost of a girl and now I can feel the ghost in my room and I have always been able to sense them, and maybe it has something to do with having gypsy blood, I have no clue, please someone help me. I've also had a possible possession for the second year in a row. I get the urge to bite and the need for blood and animal-ness. My mom had an Ouija experience with her friend, a demon was there started throwing things and ripping a door off. I think I'm crazy, please help me. I apologize for the length, I had a lot to say.

This happened a few years back, my brother was working late, and instead of driving all the way home (which is about 20 miles away) he decided to go and sleep over at our sister's house (only 10 minutes away). He has a key so lets himself in, he walks up to my sister to let her know he is there. Very sleepily she answered and went back to sleep. So my bother just crashes on the couch.

He started to get cold then he heared someone in the in the hallway. He called out, "Hey I'm cold can you get me a blanket?" thinking that it was our sister going to the bathroom. Next thing he feels someone putting a cover on him, so he goes back to sleep.

The next morning my sister wakes up and she goes to the living room and sees our bother covered in news papers. She wakes him up and asks him, "why are covered up in newspapers?" He gets up and sees that there's newspapers on top of him. He was confused, and told her, "I thought that you covered me with a blanket."

Straight out she told him no that she had just gotten up. They were both confused. He told her, "I heard you in the hallway last night, and I asked you for a blanket."

Any way the story remains that my brother heard someone in the hallway and when he got cold someone or something covered him in news paper.
