Almost golf gps have a rugged, waterproof, touchscreen golf GPS packed with thousands of pre-loaded golf course maps. Approach uses a high-sensitivity GPS receiver to measure individual shot distances and show the exact yardage to fairways, hazards, and greens. The golf gps has been enhanced with innovative stat tracking software that records putts per round, fairways hit and greens in regulation. It also tracks club distance averages and is still incredibly easy to use.
SkyCaddie SG5 Golf GPS
Part of SkyCaddie's exclusive, professional 4-Star SkyCourses, IntelliGreen graphics provide an eagle's eye view of the green with an indicator representing a direct line-of-play from wherever you are on the course.
With an annual SkyPlayer Club Membership Plan (not included with purchase of device), you can easily download thousands of our professionally enabled SkyCourses.
Three different levels of memberships are available, based on how many courses you want to store and play. If you do not want a membership and your course is not already available, you can record the front, center and back of each green with your SkyCaddie's quick set-up module, which takes about 10 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can the SG5 give me the distance to the pin?
A: The SkyCaddie, using the IntelliGreen graphics found on our professionally recorded SkyCourses, provides more information than just the distance to the pin. Once the line of play is selected on the graphical green outline, it provides the minimum carry to get on the green, the maximum limit you have to the back of the green, plus you can adjust to obtain the third distance of the approximate flag location. All three distances are provided simultaneously from any direction as you approach the green. You can then frame your shot in a much larger target area and select the best club. You will hit more greens and have shorter putts than a single number can provide.

CUSTOMER SAYINGS
While I think all of these devices are massively overpriced (since you can get faster, larger screen "road" GPS units for about a hundred bucks these days), I did a lot of research before choosing this one (and I was not interested in paying any subscription fees). It really came down to this and the Garmin G5, which I think is also a good device.
----------------------------------------------------
The support from GolfBuddy seems good so far as well, although I haven't needed to really put them to the test. There are plenty of courses available for me, in all the locations around the world which I travel.
In any case, if you're prepared to pony up this kind of cash for one of these, I think your choices right now are either the Garmin G5 or the GolfBuddy World, and if you're concerned with bulk, definitely choose the World.

I purchased this product a few weeks ago, and it works great! It is very user freely, and I wished I had purchased it a long time ago. I highly recommend this golf GPS to all my friends that play the game. Thanks for a great product.

uPro Golf GPS
Looking to improve your course management skills? Turn to the uPro golf GPS system, which employs state-of-the-art GPS, aerial, and satellite technology to accurately render the details of thousands of golf courses. The uPro starts by providing the avid golfer with aerial and satellite photographs of the golf course, so you can see what the hole looks like before you play it. At the same time, the unit's built-in GPS system clearly locates the golf course hazards and flagstick, so you know what you're up against at any moment. With each glance at the 2.2-inch, high-resolution color screen, you can see a different view of the fairway, check out the upcoming sand traps and water hazards, or receive a distance marker that helps you select the correct club length. Even more impressive, the uPro's SmartView technology anticipates the hazards that you'll face on your next shot, so you can plan accordingly based on the strengths of your game. Don't want to carry water on your second shot?
The SmartView technology's dynamically generated "viewports" will tell you which area of the fairway or rough will provide a water-free path.

The uPro offers two basic modes for golf course downloads. In Basic mode, the uPro shows the distance to the front and back of all hazards and differentiates the type of hazards. Each hazard is automatically displayed in sequential order based on the current user position, and then is updated as the user moves throughout the hole. Basic mode also provides a green view, with large, easy-to-read numbers that depict the distance to the front, center, and back of the green. In Pro mode, meanwhile, the device offers a video flyover that lets the user see the layout of the hole from an aerial perspective. From the center of the green, users can see the 100-, 150-, and 200-yard markers. The Pro mode also offers scale-accurate measurements that are used to measure to and from any point on the golf course, even from the outskirts of the rough.
The uPro is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and Mac OS X v10.4 or later (Windows 2000 is the oldest version of Windows that is compatible with the uPro). However, note that the uPro does not require any additional software to connect with the uPro servers. Instead, users can easily download golf courses at uPro's web site. Once you're online, the web site gives the user a list of all golf courses in the U.S.--in your choice of Basic or Pro mode--on a click-and-buy basis. The unit's GPS technology also automatically determines which courses are nearby. And as an add-on software download, the device can accept voice commands to make menu navigation virtually hands-free.

Conclusion
This len offers the most affordable GPS unit on the market today, but offers only basic features. Don't expect any fancy graphics, but the unit does get the job done and is extremely accurate. The ability to download courses and save them to your computer is nice as a yearly membership isn't required. This unit is perfect for everyone, but especially someone just looking for the basics.
Consider the following:
- SkyCaddie SG5 Golf GPS is a solid unit. The ability to map your own course and to map greens for use with the smart green feature is a great feature on its own. Score and stat tracking is more in-depth than the rest of the field. The customer service for this company stands heads and toes above the rest.
- uPro Golf GPS is a decent unit. The signal strength of the unit is weaker when compared to the iGolf Neo and uPlay uPro. The fact that it comes pre-loaded with 20,000 courses is nice and so is the fact that it knows which course you are playing when you get there. All in all a decent offering, but leaves room for improvement.
- The Callaway uPro MX GPS is a top notch competitor, but the Intelligreen Technology is not enough to carry it over the uPro. While, Intelligreen is a great feature the unit lacks in other places. The signal strength was an issue at times as this unit doesn't offer as many channels as the competition. The main problem is the downloading of courses. You must maintain a membership to use the downloads as they are not available to save on your computer for future use.
The modern creation connected with tennis GPS UNIT items supply you with swift in addition to appropriate instruction by at any place within the training.

- I've owned a SkyCaddie SG3 for some time and, weary of its annual fees, glacial operating speed, and pedestrian display, I decided to go color. I purchased the Garmin Approach G5, but its display is very difficult to see in normal outdoor conditions. So I also purchased the Callaway uPro. I played an entire round on my home course, with all three GPS units mounted on the cart.

- The Sonocaddie V300 Plus works as advertised. I enjoy using it to find my distance. It has been almost exactly the same distances as the tee box indicators, on four of the five courses I have golfed, since purchase. I wish that the basic view had an exact view of the hole but I also appreciate not having to pay a monthly/yearly membership. At almost $40 less than Skycaddie, I am not a good enough golfer to be able to notice a difference. It has been well worth the price and only it's life span will determine it's total value.

- The features of a good rangefinder include having a laser that will give you the most accurate yardages from anywhere on the course. This is very important because the entire point of having a rangefinder is so that you can always have pin point accurate yardages to anything you need them to on the course. This means you will always know how far it is to get to the hole and to any other spot on the course. When you have this type of tool in your hands you will always have confidence that you are choosing the right shot for the situation and the yardage.
