Baldwin, like many other manufacturers, began building player pianos in the 1920s.
Baldwin pianos were named after Dwight Hamilton Baldwin, a violin and reed organ teacher.
In 1862 Baldwin opened a music store in Cincinnati, Ohio but the first Baldwin piano (an upright) was introduced in 1891.
The company, now a subsidiary of Gibson Guitar Corporation, has manufactured instruments under the Baldwin, Chickering, Wurlitzer, Hamilton, and Howard names.

Fazioli Pianoforti is a piano manufacturing company based in Sacile, Italy.
Fazioli currently offers six models of grand pianos, the largest being the Fazioli F308, which at 3.08 m (10 ft 2 in) in length is the longest piano available on the general market.
