- Glocks are average pistols. Just because law enforcement uses them does not really say much. Most police officers have never shot their weapon outside the range. And when they do target shoot many are issue one box of ammo for the year. So to say Glocks are the best is a little over blown.
I use this logic. You have one life, why go for a cost effective gun, what you really want is a very accurate weapon which a Glock is not. Find yourself an Ed Brown, Les Bear, Custom Caspean, or something on that level. No need to best cost effective with self defense.

- I have to say that I'm not a huge gun fan. I guess I mean that I don't own one. My ex was military and he made sure that I learned how to shoot. Before I relocated his best friend took me out shooting on multiple occasions with a 9mm. I believe it was a Glock. I enjoyed it very much and was a pretty good shoot.
About a year later, when me ex and I were rocky already, he took apart the gun to clean it and never reassembled it. I think he was afraid that I would get in a fight one day and I would shoot him. I am still really close to his family. It's been a running joke for years. Of course I would have never shoot him, but it's kinda humorous. I wouldn't mind owning one and taking it out to a range.
I'm not against hunting either, I just don't like to eat the pretty little dear or rabbits. LOL. I'm still a fluffy foo-foo chick at heart. (O;

- Then we agree, timmyjohnson. Many people will argue for a 1911 over a Glock, and that's okay. But I'm more of a Glock person. Don't get me wrong, I love the 1911, but the Glock stole my heart long before I got my hands on a 1911.
