Top 5 Halo 3 Multiplayer Tips

1) This tip is very simple, its the basic use of your headset or "mic". Talking to your friends and letting them know where the enemies are, what they are holding and even telling them where you died, is very helpful. You can start by going to a quick private match and going through every map and naming the parts. The best idea is to name places based on key items or features. For example in Last Resort or Zanzibar, there is the "Laser Bridge". You might not know what it is, but if you think about it, break down the sentence. It contains two key words. "Laser" and "Bridge", using your common intell., you can pin point the location. Laser refers to the location or spawn point of the Spartan Laser and "Bridge" refers to, well the long path that is a bridge.

2) Do not go for the greed, what does that mean? Well lets face it, we are all not pros at using the sniper yet we all have our weapons. Something you see common in halo 3, is a kid walking around with rockets and a sniper. While a person next to him would have a smg with no ammo and a pistol with no ammo. Like before communication helps, but you also need to learn to share your weapons. I am not a rocket scientist, but if your friend next to you has no ammo, do not expect him to save your life. Well the common sense thing would be to share, but what if he has no mic? Then use a form of communication, cavemen have done it and I am sure you can. For Example shoot at him for a bit and then fire at the weapon, crouch up and down. Make him notice you are trying to say something. Then swap your rockets with a near by weapon and slowly fire a few shots at him to gain his attention and then fire slowly at the rockets. Now think about it, your friend now has a strong weapon while you can cover him using a sniper. This tips sound pointless, but trust me its amazing how many times you see other players take items and die. Remember sharing is caring.

3) Grenades, this is the best present you can give to your enemy. The key victory is obtained by using grenades. Now you might be wondering, wait how do I use these grenades? Well its very simple, you need to trick your enemies and be able to figure out where they are going. Let me explain, if you notice someone with a sword, fire a few rounds at him and make him follow you, then as you are running, throw grenades on the side. If you plan this right, the enemy will run into them and lose his shield which means head shot :D. Yet there are more uses, you can always use them as a way to scare people or break up a herd of players. I personally like to use the grenades as a smoke screen and hide behind a rock and wait for a nice assassination.

4) Revolve around your enemy. This is a quite simple trick, the idea is to fire while circling your enemy. It might not sound easy or hard, but it sure makes life easier for you. This tactic works great because you create no possible escape routes and of course your enemy is in the middle (means easy aiming for you).

5) Take advantage of special spots in the map! This is possibly the biggest one yet, because being in a special spot on a map is key to almost any game type. For example, in Valhalla, there is a hill located in the middle, that is one of the special spots in the map. Why is it so great, because you get a clear sight of them, laser spawn, battle rifle spawn, and much more. Losing a special spot on the map also makes game types such as CTF harder and more frustrating. Thats why once you get a hold of a special spot, keep hold of it. A strong defense is a strong offense.
