Who Offers The Best HID Kit On The Market???
With So many options on the market today, how do we know who carries the best HID kit out there? What factors should we consider when determining the best company to purchase an HID kit from in the first place?
Hopefully, we can clear the fog of war between HID Kit manufacturers, foreign trading companies, agents, dealers, and whoever else is poluting the internet with bad information. Most consumers do not know the difference between a cheap HID kit and the best HID kits out there, simply because they have not been informed - well now, you will be...
Where Are Your HID Kits Made?
a common question answered with lies...
Personally, I have been in the automotive lighting business since I was 21 years old. I am now 32 at the time of writing this article, making it 11 years in the business... I believe that if you are honest with your customers, keep no secrets from them and help them make the best purchasing decision for their needs, you will always have a loyal customer. However, over the past 11 years I have had many unfortunate opportunities to see just how corrupt the world of selling HID kits has become. There are more HID kit dealers today than the average consumer could possibly sift through and choosing the best HID kit can very quickly become a daunting task. This is simply due to the fact that there are almost no honest HID kit dealers these days. Most of them fill the internet with lies and bad information in an attempt to make people think they have the best HID kits and that their products are worth purchasing - more than others...
For starters, let me set this straight. If you are buying an aftermarket HID kit product, there is a 98% chance that product is manufactured in China with the other 2% coming from Taiwan. Therefore, just because a dealer claims their product is from Germany, Japan, etc, does not mean that such a claim is true. As a matter of fact, most dealers of chinese hid parts will never admit that their products come from China. They know their products are built in sweat shops out of china for less than $20 and are flat out affraid to admit it due to the fear that they might lose the sale. Afterall, they do want you to think they have the best HID kit right?
If someone tells you, "we have the best HID kits - made in Japan" or "Our kits are genuine, authentic German HID kits," they are flat out lying to you. Also, nothing has frustated me more than seeing consumers falling for the "Genuine Philips HID Kits" B.S.! First of all, Philips never has, and most likely never will make aftermarket hid parts. The only HID parts Philips makes are OEM parts, built to be used by vehicle manufacturers on vehicles sold stock with HID. These parts are "D" based parts such as D1R, D1S, D2R, D2S products. "D" based HID parts are what stock hid systems use and that is the only thing Philips makes. With that being said, if you see someone claiming they are selling a genuine Philips HID kit for $200+, it is in fact a knock off Philips kit which is manufactured by a company in China and sold to dealers here in the United States for anywhere from 15USD to 25USD per kit. These US dealers then use the "Philips" name to deceive the uninformed into thinking they have the best hid kit you can get... Do not fall for this lie and please do not waste your money on such a scam.
Are All China HID Parts Junk?
A sad reputation China has come to be known for...
Fact is, although China has a bad reptuation for maufacturing cheap garbage, not everything coming from china is so bad. In fact, very high quality products such as Apple ipods and Coach purses are manfucatured in China. So why are there so many bad HID products coming from China? What are the best hid kits made in China?
Well, to answer that honestly you would have to understand that in the entire country of China, there is one and only one genuine HID part manufacturer that is a multibillion dollar company with all the proper facilities, equipment, trained engineers who specialize in building some of the best hid kit products in the world as well as the funding to ensure excellent quality control and testing procedures. This company makes some of the best, if not "the" best HID kits - both ballasts and bulbs on the market.
There are a couple other smaller Chinese companies that are growing in size, who seem to make some decent HID parts these days as well. However, any other hid kit coming out of china is in fact made in very low end facilities to say the least... It could be said they are no better than sweat shops since they pretty much build hid ballasts and bulbs by hand, in assembly lines, using nothing but soldering irons and hand tools to build their parts - using very low grade components to say the least... Where is the precision engineering in that???
It's no wonder you hear so many horror stories of ballasts that melted, caught on fire, shorted a vehicles computer, etc, etc... The quality of such HID products is questionable to say the least. Hence Chinas bad reputation for making junk. Remember however that not "everything" from China is garbage. Believe it or not, some of the best hid kits actually are made in China. However, the best hid kits out of China are not cheap like most would expect. This is because true quality costs - even where China is concerned... And you get what you pay for.
So What Is The Best HID Kit On The Market?
The OMNIXAS Elite - Hands Down
To prove a point, Omni X spent thousands of dollars purchasing HID ballasts from every known manufacturer in both Taiwan and China. After extensive hot /cold start testing, flash testing, voltage irregularity testing and durability testing, they chose the best one of the bunch and compared it to their elite hid ballasts. As pictured below, you can see the difference in quality, craftmanship, and precision engineering. By the way, even the best competing ballast couldn't pass every test. Therefore couldn't compete with the OMNIXAS elite ballasts that passes all tests with ease.

The OMNIXAS Elite HID kits sold by Omni X Auto Sports are flat out the best hid kits out there... By a landslide! Other people can claim they have the best hid kit all they want, and they can claim their products are built by NASA for all I care... which would be a lie, but when it boils down to engineering, quality components, durability, dependability, performance and peace of mind, the best HID kit is the OMNIXAS Elite kit made by none other than their privately contracted China manufacturer. Elite kits are not sold on their website. Customers would have to call in and request the elite kit to be pre-ordered at a bulk discount rate by adding single orders to their bulk orders.
What Else Makes These The Best HID Kits?
The OMNIXAS XPU Introduction...

The OMNIXAS XPU processor is a microprocessor that was designed specifically for their elite ballasts. it allows the ballast to function under extreme conditions that would normally destroy other ballasts. In Diesels and Sports Cars that have a lot of voltage draw, ballasts tend to fail quite often... But not the OMNIXAS XPU integrated Elite ballasts. This XPU microprocessor allows the ballast to function all the way down to below 6V, without taking any dammage, in cases of extreme voltage drops. This XPU is at the very heart of the best HID kit and offers:
Intelligence: XPU monitors and controls all important operation data inside the ballast
Reliability: XPU monitors and adjusts key parameters to keep the ballast working properly in good situations. If conditions worsen, such as the operating parameters deviating from nominal, the XPU automatically adjusts the nominal operating parameters such as current, voltage input, frequency or pulse width to maintain a safe and stable operating condition for the ballast and bulbs.
Safe Guard: XPU will keep the xenon lamp running at half power instead of shutting down and damaging the bulb during extreme voltage drop situations such as the voltage dropping below 6V.
Black Box: XPU will record every running detail and status of the ballast.
EMI Shielding: XPU filters out EMI that can sometimes interfere with car stereos.
Slim Unit Design: XPU ensures a lighter weight, smaller size and a much more stable hid kit with enhanced functions when compared to the competition.

- Ummm, why was my comment deleted? I mentioned that on your website it says something about your kits coming from Japan. Do you claim your kits come from Japan or just the ballasts or the capacitors or? Please be clear and please don't delete my comments.

- When we first started doing business with our import agent, they informed us that our kits were made in Japan. This was way back when we designed our description pages for these HID kits in particular... Anyways, it wasn't unitl some time later that I was actually searching for a very specific D1 ballast manufacturer. My supplier for the D1 ballast stopped carrying the one I had listed on the site, and as a result, I was on the hunt for the manufacturer that made it - They were REALLY good D1 ballasts! Anyways, the only information I had was - they are in Taiwan. So after months of digging, (this manufacturer was VERY hard to find) I finally found them. However, to my surprise - it became evident that they were also the manufacturer of our HID kits (the ones we were told were made in Japan).
Now, with that being said... It was later explained to me by the export manager at this Taiwan manufacturing facility, that they are owned by a Japanese company. So the truth is, I've been flat out lazy with the description, since it took me 2 weeks to create it in the first place. I simply never went back on the site and changed "Japan" to "Taiwan". However, i didn't feel it was that big of a deal since they were owned by a Japanese company anyways... Yet, to keep things lucid between us and our customers - I absolutely should change it as soon as possible.

- Note taken. We don't target people that don't want quality... those of us that choose to spend more money on quality items in lilfe, truly understand the meaning of "you get what you pay for..." Would you trust sitting in a wooden chair from china that costs $2 or a wooden chair made in Taiwan, Brazil, or Italy perhaps, which costs about $150? It's a no brainer. That kit is less than $60 for a reason, and it's the ones who choose to buy them who are the ones at risk of electronic failure, damage to your vehicles intel system or computer... All of which would void your auto warranty and end up costing you about $5000 in the end to fix.
That sort of thing NEVER happens with a $200+ kit because they are built properly from the designs of schooled and experience engineers using Millions of dollars worth of equipment to ensure proper design and process of manufacturing are correctly in place to keep those types of things from happening...
But hell, you are part of the majority that doesn't mind spending less on a hid kit, and taking a risk that the smaller group of us would rather pay for to avoid. Not to mention, the honest warranty, tech support and CMS that you also get with a more expensive kit. Good luck getting much support from your cheap dealers - especially when i comes to a warranty.
