A Thanksgiving must

Thanksgiving is coming up again and food is on everyone's mind.  Most people worry about the turkey or stuffing or pumpkin pie.  My favorite dish, though, is cranberry sauce.   With so many great recipes that are easy and flavorful, there is no reason to buy it in a can.  Here is a great recipe that is simple and delicious and the whole family will enjoy.

Cranberry Orange Sauce
Ingredients

1 Pound cranberries (fresh or frozen)
1 Cup fresh orange juice (about 3 oranges)
1/2 Cup granulated sugar

Directions

Total Time: 20 minutes

This recipe is super simple. I made it last year for my family and they all loved it. All you have to do is combine all of your ingredients in a medium saucepan and stir occassionally. Cook over medium heat. When the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens (about 15 minutes), it's ready. For an extra touch, grate a little orange zest over the top. This recipe is best served at room temperature and it serves 8.

I definitely prefer the homemade variety to the canned ( which my husband grew up on and thought was the best until I showed him the error of his thinking) Wonderful lens for a wonderful cause. 5 *****
