Horses horses horses

I am making this page about horse stuff because my daughter and I have been sharing horses for 14 years and now she is getting ready to go to college and this will let me keep sharing with others. We have quarter horses, thoroughbreds, welsh cross ponies and one paint. Each has played a different part in our lives and all are appreciated. Western, hunt seat, reining, and eventing are the sports we have tried. Our youtube site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DukmR4z1N3M

The Eventer

Dressage Cross Country Stadium Jumping

My daughter's event horse is Bullet Proof very appropriate name. He is brave and true and carries her when she doesn't carry herself. He has lots of movies on youtube and is a very handsome tall TB. He has carried her over fences that didn't need jumping and carried her through ones that should have been. He really is a prince for her.

At the last show, he crashed two fences, I think she ran out of horse. He is doing well, but just to be safe we are taking some time off and letting him rest his legs. They are wrapped and have meds in the wrap to make him feel better. He is such a trooper about accidents. I have to tell you about all his accidents. If there is even the slightest thing in his paddock, he will find it, and will require the vet!

The Reiner

Twister is a reiner, though he doesn't compete anymore. He is just a great little trail horse, trusty and true, dependable. Makes you want to sing "Ragtime Cowboy" while you ride. At 15 hands, he is just right for a short person like me. He looks funny in an english saddle, but very handsome in a western one. I think he prefers the australiam saddle that was given to us last year. But I miss the horn.

the paint horse

The first horse

Allie (real name is My Alibi) is the strong willed paint. Fearless and one to be feared, she is the alpha mare. Unafraid of the wild dogs that attacked our sheep, jumping anything including picnic tables, she will run with the wind and stand taller than her 15.1 frame. She lives on the farm on 40 acres with her old pal Jeff, a 24 year old TB gelding. She has the life of Riley.

I can't get the picture of Allie to load. so if you have time, go to the youtube site below:

YouTube vids

Richard Watson is an excellent trainer. I recently bought a new video camera so my movies will get better. He is always talking to her and making her stronger in her riding.
