Michael Flatley is the American son of Irish immigrants who is probably the most well-known male Irish Step Dancer globally.

From his humble beginnings, he made his debut onto the international Irish Step Dance scene as the original male lead dancer in Riverdance in 1994.

Later, Michael Flatley separated from Riverdance due to creative differences. But his calling took him to new levels of self-production.

During his career, he produced, choreographed and starred in three worldwide shows: Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames and Celtic Tiger.

Michael Flatley has been called "Lord of the Dance" by thousands of adoring fans. He holds many records and titles and is incredibly talented. His influence and impact on modern Irish Step Dance is undeniable.

Colin Dunne is English born and likewise got his start in Irish Dance at an early age.

His career began more in the teaching side of the business. Colin Dunne made his splash onto the Irish Dance scene in 1995 not as a performer but in creating a step-by-step, how-to Irish Step Dancing video entitled "Celtic Feet". It is still very popular and sought after many years later.

Later he began touring and his career and Michael Flatley's collided during the Riverdance years. As Michael Flatley was leaving the group due to creative differences, it was Colin Dunne who took up the male lead and kept Riverdance on tour.

Both he and Michael Flatley danced with Jean Butler in Riverdance however it was Colin Dunne who continued on a like career path in many ways with Jean Butler as his partner on many occassions.

Colin Dunne later co-produced, created and starred in Dancing On Dangerous Ground with Jean Butler after his departure from Riverdance.

He is still involved in the industry today as a teacher and choreographer.
