Callaway Irons 2012

Callaway Irons 2012 for Amateurs

Diablo Forged Irons (8+ Handicap)

Forged Irons for the rest of us. These irons feature a deep center of gravity for unprecedented distance with the feel and accuracy of a forged iron.
The undercut cavity provides stability for the amateurs on off-center shots.

RAZR X HL (10+ Handicap)

The RAZR irons shifts the center of gravity lower and deeper by redistributing weight in the back cavity; providing the power and forgiveness of a wide-sole iron with the precision and playability of a thin-sole iron. Callaway has made a noticeable effort to reduce the width of their irons (for better looks) for amateur players while still maintaining the forgiveness found in the wide-sole irons.

Diablo Edge (15+ Handicap)

"One Whole Sweet Spot". Delivering smooth turf interaction, the sole is designed to mitigate the effects of heavy and thin shots and improve the impact location on the face for greater distance.

TaylorMade Irons 2012

R11 Irons (3-20 Handicap)

These new irons are far and away the most versatile irons TaylorMade has designed to date. The clubs feature an ultra thin face which increases ball speed for greater distance. And with inverted cone technology, the lower the clubs center of gravity compared to previous clubs which allows for the greatest amount of forgiveness while still giving the player optimum feel. Tour Preferred MC Irons (0-10 Handicap)

These irons are forged steel featuring a musclecavity design. These are designed for the player that loves the amazing feedback from a forged iron as well the ability to work the ball as they see fit. Advanced groove design allows for greater spin and control even from the rough. They are TaylorMade's attempt at copying what Mizuno has done for years (in my opinion) but these are still great looking irons and extremely well designed irons.Click Here To Buy

RocketBallz Irons (7-20 Handicap)

The latest from TaylorMade, these irons are a great redesign for the average player. They offer a face thickness progression. The thickness of the face actually increases with the greater the loft of the iron. This allows for the optimum combination of launch angle, ball speed and spin-rate.
RocketBallz also features a new vibration and sound control system specially designed for thin-faced irons promotes exceptional feel and sound.Click Here To Buy

Mizuno Irons 2012

Mizuno Irons 2012 for Amateurs

JPX-800 (8-30 Handicap)

The JPX-800 irons have a newly designed MAX COR Technology, Hot Metal%u2122 Face construction. As well as a redesigned pocket cavity that allows the maximum amount of energy transfer. The Hot Metal%u2122 construction utilizes a new manufacturing process that increases the material's natural strength to create an ultra-thin design. This maybe something many people are looking for as reason iron designs from many manufacturers have increased the width of an iron. Something many people find aesthetically unappealing.

JPX-800PRO (4-20 Handicap)

These irons offer a simliar design to the JPX-800s, but the the PRO irons offer Mizuno's one piece Grain Flow ForgedĀ® technology. This technology creates a perfectly tuned sound at impact for the ultimate in feel. Mizuno uses its Modal Analysis and Harmonic Impact Technology to create the ultimate soft, solid and consistent feel available from an iron today. This iron is regularly used by Tour players but is more than forgivable for the average golfer.

MP-59 (2-13 Handicap)

These new irons feature the award winning Ti Muscle%u2122 Technology. This allows a much small cavity back but the forgiveness of a full size cavity back. The Grain Flow technology increases the sweet spot area by 5%. This is the same technology found on the JPX-800PRO. The lightweight characteristics of the pure titanium allows for the ideal amount of thickness behind the impact area to deliver consistent solid feel while simultaneously providing a dramatic increase in perimeter weighting for enhanced playability. All of Mizuno's MP irons are ideal for the 10 or under handicap. However, if you have a tendency to take several weeks off between rounds I suggest the JPX-800 irons. The MP's are less forgiving and require more consistent use to achieve consistent play.

Ping Irons 2012

Ping Irons 2012 for Amateurs

G20 Irons (12+ Handicap)

These irons feature Ping's CTP floating cavity design to allow for a thinner face, creating faster ball speeds and better distance control. Weight in the back flange of the deeply cut, multi-cavity head increases the moment of inertia (MOI). Increasing the MOI, increases the stability of the clubhead to remain stable on off-center hits. Combined with PING's new CFS steel shaft, the G20 optimizes feel and trajectories.

i20 Irons (6-14 Handicap)

These new ping irons feature a progressive set design. This means your longer irons are larger and designed for greater distance and forgiveness, while your shorter irons are smaller and designed for maximum workability. A high-density tungsten toe weight provides
forgiveness across the face for accurate results and a high-launch, low-spin trajectory. These irons are probably one of the best looking sets for 2012.

S56 Irons (2-12 Handicap)

Featuring Stabilizing Bar Technology, the long irons have shorter stabilizing bars that increase ball speed and distance while the shorter irons have wider stabilizing bars to produce low, controlled trajectories. These stabilizing bars can be found on the back of the head at 45 degree angles. The machined face and grooves ensure maximum spin and control.
