Honorable Mentions

Vote Them Up!

Hulk Hogan's Main Event: As if reality TV wasn't enough, looks like Hulk Hogan has his hand in the Kinect cookie jar as well. This game lets you try out all sorts of special moves that you'd expect in any televised wrestling match worth its salt. It's a nice companion to Fighters Uncaged, as the games are quite different in style and gameplay.

Rise of Nightmares: Here's a Kinect fighting game that's perfect for people who love all things gory-B-horror-movie. The terrifying action on the screen will be all that much more realistic when you have to actually control your character's movements with your body. Hopefully, you'll be up for hacking and slashing your way through the fear. Want a taste of the action? You can watch an extremely gruesome trailer here (obviously, not suitable for all audiences!)

Dragon Ball Z for Kinect: If you like Dragon Ball Z, you can now enjoy the franchise with full-body motion controls! Reviewers enjoyed the game, although some found it a bit repetitive.

#6: PowerUP Heroes

Power Up Your Avatar

Power Up Heroes

This game lets your Xbox avatar become a hero. Collect 20 super-powered suits to do battle alone, in versus mode with a friend, or online. The Kinect allows you to use your whole body to get into the fighting action.

PowerUp Heroes is made by UBI Soft, the same company that made Your Shape Fitness, Evolved (which has been voted one of the best Kinect exercise games), so you know that they've got the body-scanning and motion controls part down.

#5: Star Wars

Lightsabers, Ho!

Kinect Star Wars

Kinect Star Wars combines the great motion-controlling capabilities of the Kinect controller with the well-loved Star Wars franchise. As one of the newest additions to the Kinect library, this game is sure to inject new life into your Kinect playing experience.

#4: Kung Fu

High Impact

Kung Fu High Impact

Kung Fu High Impact gives you plenty of ways to fight for glory with limitless combinations of punches, kicks, jumps, and more. One thing that really makes this game stand out is the variety of opponents you'll have to deal with, from gangs to wizards to giants. There's also a feature that literally takes your picture and puts it into the storyline, which is a nice touch.

#3: UFC Personal Trainer

Learn the Moves

UFC Personal Trainer

Part fighting game, part fitness game, UFC Personal Trainer is well-rounded and well done. The game includes a UFC personal trainer and several popular UFC fighters, who you can hit the mitts with to perform a series of challenges. You'll get the chance to perfect a variety of MMA-inspired moves from diverse sports such as wrestling, Muay Thai, and kickboxing.

#2: Kinect Sports (Boxing)

Punch Your Friends' Lights Out!

Kinect Sports

The boxing game in Kinect Sports is likely one of the first fighting games you're going to come across. The action is pretty simple: just punch towards the Kinect controller, which will pick up your movements and record them as hits on your opponent. You can play in one-player mode, two players at the same time side by side, or play against opponents online

And the #1 Best Kinect Fighting Game Is...

... Fighters Uncaged!

#1: Fighters Uncaged

Kick Some Animated Butt!

Note: Although Fighters Uncaged has more votes, the more recently released Kung Fu High Impact has better reviews on Amazon than Fighters Uncaged, especially for the motion tracking. Read the reviews and decide for yourself which you think is the better game!

Fighters Uncaged

This is currently the best example of a fighting game on the Kinect to date. It's a game that really showcases the capabilities of the Kinect well, allowing you to use your whole body to fight your way through multiple opponents and levels. Some players say that getting the moves down right is tricky, but once you do, there is plenty of fun to be had. There's also a tag-team mode that allows you to play with a friend.

Are you retarded? Fighters Uncaged was the worst game of 2010. Stop shilling for game companies you scumbag.
  • I'm sorry you feel that way! I rank the games by user votes, instead of my own opinions, so these are the feelings of visitors to this site, not my own. According to the Amazon reviews, there are plenty of people who enjoyed Fighters Uncaged - it's certainly not as poorly reviewed as other games I've seen. I always encourage people to look at the ratings on Amazon, talk to friends, and read third-party reviews before they buy a game. And not everyone is looking for the same thing in a game - for example, Star Wars Kinect isn't particularly responsive, but there are plenty of people who love the title!
  • Dude what a crap comment indeed, thanks for the comparrisons Emma
  • Fighting games are always fun - just be careful not to get too carried away... lol
