My Favorite Lego Star Wars Models: A Kid's Recommendations

I have always loved building with Legos ever since I was old enough. I am also a huge fan of the Star Wars movies and the Clone Wars TV show. I save up my allowance for Legos and usually end up with Star Wars models. Over the years I have built many of these sets. Here are some of my favorites.

Republic Gunship

LEGO Star Wars Republic Gunship

This is a very detailed model. I like how the gunship can carry so many troops in the most unusual places, like in the wings, cockpits, and the center front of the ship. This kit also comes with many minifigures, such as Obi-wan Kenobi and Asajj Ventress (Count Dooku's assassin).

Solar Sailor

LEGO Star Wars Set #7752 Clone Wars Count Dooku's Solar Sailer

This is Count Dooku's vehicle that he uses to fly into planets without being detected by radar. It is easy to build, but it has amazing features, like flick-fire missles.

V-19 Torrent

LEGO Star Wars V-19 Torrent

This model has wings that can open and close, landing gear that lowers when the wings close, an opening cockpit, and flick-fire missiles. My brother plays with the Torrent a lot without breaking it.

Clone Walker Battle Pack

You get a lot of fun out of this kit for not much money. It has a clone scout walker with flick-fire missles. It also has a clone gunner. I once made a stop-action movie with the scout walker.

This kit has many assassin droids and a speeder with flick-fire missiles. I used the assassin droids to work at a lego energy brick mine that I created.

Separatist Armored Assault Tank

LEGO Star Wars Armored Assault Tank (AAT)

These deadly tanks are often used to escort larger transports or attack Republic fortifications. An A.A.T. can fire light armor-piercing shells, "bunker-buster" high explosive shells, and more. The model includes firing cannons, a speeder that comes out of the back, and a rotating cannon on the top.

AT-TE Walker

Hailfire Droid And Spider Droid

LEGO Star Wars Hail-Fire Droid & Spider Droids

The hailfire droid can fire multiple missles to destroy enemy assault vehicles. The (dwarf) spider droid has 4 legs and two cannons. They are both easy to build.

Great lens! Loved your recommendations. My hubby and sons are big Star Wars fans, too. They are always eyeing up the legos, but can never decide what they'd like to have. (Of course, they want them all!) I'll pass this lens on to them in hopes that they might be able to make up their minds. Thanks for the info!

The next Star Wars model I would like is the Republic Attack Cruiser. Also, I saved up for a long time finally got the programmable robot kit (NXT)!

Great lens, with lots of choices of Lego Star Wars. I like the printed shirts also. My son's a big Lego fan too. Do you have a favorite set, or one you've got your eye on to buy next?
