Dok Ko Jin is a top (Hallyu) action star, he's very famous & popular, however, deep down he's an insecure man. He has heart operation 10 years ago and wears a wrist heart monitor which tells him if his heartbeat is over the limit. As a famous actor, he cannot show his feeling nor sadness so he always puts a brave & smiley face. One fateful day, in the gas station, while waiting for his manager inside his van, he meets with Gu Ae Jung, who has been struggling with her life and appears on many variety shows in order to maintain her popularity. She was the leader of a popular girl idol group which unfortunately disbanded after 18 months together. Her brother who is also her manager always lifts up her spirit and supporting her.

The next day after their first fateful meeting, they meet again in a broadcasting company. Ae Jung wears the same limited edition scarf as Dok Ko Jin and he's extremely angry. She sneaks into Jin's VIP waiting room to swap the scarf because her scarf is wet and overhears the painful rejection of Jin's Hollywood movie. She pretends that she knows Jin really well during radio broadcast and is invited to a variety show with one catch: she will have to call Jin during the broadcast and answers the questions. Thankfully, Jin agrees and they have a fun time asking & answering the given questions until Ae Jung accidentally tells the whole nation about Jin's Hollywood movie's cancellation.

He is frustrated and ends up got an accident which he uses to cover up about his movie's cancellation. Ae Jung then asks him to help her with her career. They agree with this agreement. Their adorable dorky love journey starts from here.

Pil Joo is a successful doctor and he joins a dating program directed by Se Ri. Ae Jung also joins this program and Pil Joo starts to fall in love with her. On the other hand, Se Ri also starts to love Pil Joo.

So who will Ae Jung choose in the end? And what will happen with Dok Ko Jin, Pil Joo and Se Ri?

Dok Ko Jin [Dokko Jin]

Dok Ko Jin [Dokko Jin] (Cha Seung Won) is an action star (Hallyu Star) who is cool, mischievous, insecure and I get the impression, he is a freak perfectionist and mellow guy. He always searches about himself on the internet and feels very dissapointed everytime he reads any bad comments regarding his acting skills from his fans. But because he's a big action star, he cannot express his frustration nor his weaknesses in public. Deep inside his heart, he is a genuinely great guy and romantic. He lives in a lavish life and he even wears a tech gadget to monitor his heart rate.

Gu Ae Jung

Gu Ae Jung (Gong Hyo Jin) was the leader of a popular girl idol group, Kukbo Sonyeo or National Treasure Girls has a tough life after her group broke up 10 years earlier. With her brother as her manager, Gu Ae Hwan, she's trying to make a television and radio appearance to help rebuild her career, but it seems like she always hits a rock bottom. She lives with her father and her nephew who adores Ko Jin.

Ae Jung first fateful meeting with Ko Jin is in a gas station and the next day they meet again in a radio station. Ae Jung overhears Ko Jin's painful memories and his current Hollywood movie's rejection. She accidentally breaks the news on national television and her tangled journey with Ko Jin starts.

Yoon Pil Joo

Yoon Pil Joo (Yoon Kye Sang) is a successful doctor, but unfortunately, cannot find his love. His mother always sets him up in blind dates, in which he always agrees. He meets with Ae Jung when she accidentally enters his room when he's waiting for his blind date to arrive.

After that, he also joins a dating television show with Ae Jung and he starts to fall in love with her. Which makes me really emotional, as far as I'm aware, the second lead in any Hong Sisters' drama will never get the girl! And I don't really want him to fall in love with Se Rin who has similar personalities as Dokko Jin. She doesn't complete a pure, genuine, sweet Pil Joo.

Kang Se Ri

Kang Se Ri (Yoo In Na) was part of the idol group, Kukbo Sonyeo or National Treasure Girls, however, she never get the recognition she deserved.

She was in a relationship with Dokko Jin, but it was a fake relationship as they never falling in love with each other. Se Ri is a fashionista, everything she wears always become a big hit. After several years overseas, Se Ri is back and is now a producer of a dating television program. She bumps into Ae Jung one day and she remembers all the humiliation she's received from her when they were in an idol group together. Decided to get revenge, she invites Ae Jung and Pil Joo to join this program.

Her personalities are similar with Dokko Jin, she's annoying and never care about others. A selfish person who only wants the best for herself.

When I first heard about them playing lead roles for this drama, I didn't feel the chemistry between them. Okay, I might be a bit bias here as I really love Hoi Hoi (Dae Woong & Mi Ho) Couple in MGIAG as I can really see their chemistry throughout the MGIAG episodes. I fall in love this them ever since I saw Lee Seung Gi tweeted his photo with his "500 years old girlfriend".

Okay, this is not about the adorable Hoi Hoi Couple. =) This is about Dokko Jin & Gu Ae Jung Couple. Honestly, if I hear or read about celebrity's couple dating news, I always be very happy of whom they're dating with (as they're human, like us who also deserve to love and be loved). And it doesn't really matter if their outer appearance match or not with their partner, as long as they're happy together. That's the main thing, right?

In K-Drama, I actually prefer to see the chemistry between the actors develop throughout the episodes. The first few episode we may not see their chemistry, but even if they're not in love together (yet), we should see some sort of spark between them (in which I couldn't see in Dokko Jin & Gu Ae Jung's couple). Gu Ae Jung's chemistry with Pil Joo is much better and I've been rooting for this couple! Even though I know, the main lead actress will never fall for the second male lead (which is a pity as they're perfect for each other).

Episode 14 was the turning point for me, argghh... Please please please do not let Dokko Jin dies, I'm just starting to love this couple! I'm going to cry a bucket if he dies! :(

We all know Hong Sisters love to bring back actors from their previous dramas as cameo. So far, the cameo-s are:

- Kim Nam Gil - Episode 1 (he didn't make an actual appearance, but we saw him when Dok Ko Jin was watching Queen Seon Deok on his van and it was the scene when Bidam was dying)

- Park Shi Yeon from My Girl - Episode 3

- Lee Seung Gi from My Girlfriend is a Gumiho - Episode 9 (he's playing as Lee Seung Gi and honestly, it's one of the best Hong Sisters' cameo so far. Even though he was only there for 4 minutes, however, his impersonation of himself as a polite man and then opposite transformation as little Dok Ko Jin was hilarious. Not to mention him threatening Dok Ko Jin that the fridge CF is his safety zone and no-one, not even big star like Dok Ko Jin can take it away from him. And lastly, Dok Ko Jin & Lee Seung Gi's cute wide charming smile was so adorable)

Lee Seung Gi was rumored to play as the main lead actor for Best Love so his cameo appearance has gathered lots of excitement.
