    Mickie: Your blog mirrors my AF brat experiences . I too had a USAF officer Dad and graduated from a small Minnesota town high school (my 4th after others in Ontario, and two in California, the last two were seeped in American Graffiti).
    Now, as I join in the online brats websites, I really feel old to ancient. I was in the Class of '62 and few of my friends are not wired for much online activities. I did find several of my old/lost brat friends by using the internet search capabilities.
    Recently, I was invited to attend a local alumni gathering of a DOD high school from Japan. I had a great time and began to wonder if similar; small, local,informal,"gatherings" would be of interest to we Boomer era brats that do not have an active HS alumni group. Have you heard of any such thing? I have "found" the email addresses of about 80 brats in my general area and just sent out invitations, to test the waters. I'm curious to see the level of interest, and to what it leads........

    My dad was in the Navy but retired before I was born. I guess you could say I'm a Boomer AND I'm a Dude Ranch Brat (having grown up on the family guest ranch in Montana).

    I'm enjoying getting to know you through your lenses.

    Interesting story. I did not know military families used to get a maid. My, how times have changed. I was born in 1970.

    I am not a military brat, but before I was born my dad was in the Vietnam War.

    I am a government employee brat. My daddy worked for NASA as a systems analyst and my mother worked as a contract specialist with the Army. My father past over the river in 1989 but my mother is still living. She misses her security clearance.
