Minecraft is a nice game - you can create and craft whatever you like, you can explore unique worlds, and so on and so on. But if you want more features and more things to do, this is where the best Minecraft mods come into play.

    Though they take some research/work to implement, Industrialcraft and Buildcraft add quite a bit of fun tinkering to the game with so many machines and modernization/automating possibilities between the two mods. Move fluids through pipes, start up a power plant or manufacturing plant that runs itself, designate quarries to hollow out the earth for you while you profit, and even tamper with nuclear science to power your new devices!
